Was dealing with Tony(owner/operator) for some years. Thought we had a good relationship until he sold me a truck that was no good. I don't believe he checked the truck properly before selling it to me for 6K. I drove the truck across Canada had to stop(get it looked at) because of excessive vibration during changing gears. I ended up making it to my destination. Then got it checked by a few different mechanics finding major engine issue's(engine misfire) before having to give up on the 2007 Ford F-150 5.4L and bring it to the scrap yard. When I contacted him about the truck he was not professional. Said that we had "took it for a test drive". But to me that is not a good enough reason for a vehicle to have major engine issue's within only a few hours being on the road. Long story short he took advantage of a situation to make a profit. I took a gamble on that he was a mechanic selling me a vehicle and I have known him and used him as my primary mechanic for 3 years. Taking my vehicle into his shop many times for repairs. This happened summer 2025. I don't like bad business. There is accountability in word of mouth and reputation. This is my story dealing with this business and this owner/operator. He showed his true colors of being opportunistic and not fair or honorable in my opinion when I contacted him back to at least reimburse some of that 6K that was lost to this vehicle.

My go-to trustworthy mechanic. They've helped me out tremendously twice now, I highly recommend them! They are communicative, friendly and listen to you, explain what they found/did, and even took pictures to show me the issue that was cause by another mechanic. Plus sent me home with chocolates! I will not be taking my vehicle anywhere else!!

Wasted My Time - No Transparency on Engine Swap My experience with Zoom Auto Service was incredibly frustrating. I called to ask if they could perform an engine swap. The conversation was unprofessional from the start. After I told him my vehicle type, he gave a ballpark estimate of $3000-$5000. When I pressed for an exact number and asked if they could source and provide the engine, he became evasive. He insisted I had to bring the vehicle in first for inspection (which I assume would be charged) before he could even tell me if the work was possible. How can I bring my car in if you can't even confirm you can get the engine? He explicitly said they would not source the parts, putting the entire burden on me. This lack of basic preparation and transparency is a major red flag. It seems like a tactic to get vehicles into the shop to charge for inspections without any commitment or capability to do the actual work. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

I’ve been going to Zoom for the past couple years and I honestly can’t imagine ever going to another auto shop. Any work i’ve needed from oil changes to major repairs has been done quickly and for a very fair price. The work is always done incredibly well with good quality parts. Darcy and Tony are great guys, they always go out of their way to educate you on what repairs are needed and exactly why, they’ve never upcharged or tried to get me to do any repairs that weren’t absolutely needed. Being young + not very car savvy can make going to the mechanic stressful but I absolutely trust these guys to do the best job possible.
