As a mother of two I was really excited to visit the UVSA spa! I left a little disappointed for the price I spent for the robe and they didn’t have “ winter ones available” they mentioned they were getting some delivered within the hour so I went back a total of 3 times during my 4 hour stay because I was freezing and couldn’t complete my rest period as I was shivering. They did kindly provide another “ summer towel” when I went up and told them I was froze. The warm pool was super super dirty and I could see lots of different size and types of hair and some sort of slimy textures within the water. I am unsure if I will be back there when there are many spas in the maritimes with better cleaning standards.

I’ve been going to USVA Spa ever since it opened, and every visit has been an amazing experience. The dry sauna is one of my personal favorites, it’s always clean, relaxing, and exactly what I need to unwind. The staff is great, welcoming, and professional, and the overall atmosphere is incredibly calming. They’ve truly built a beautiful spa, and the view of Magnetic Hill just adds to the experience. I would highly recommend USVA Spa to anyone looking to relax and enjoy a peaceful day. Looking forward to my next visit.

I booked for a group of friends for social day (Thursday) and found it very frustrating that I organized a list of all of the names, numbers and emails separately for the booking because we’d be paying separately - however I’m the only one that received any notifications on the booking, and the day of the spa they made everyone write their name and number when they arrived and still seemed confused about payments. That was just a minor annoyance compared to the real issue we had. Our group is a mix of queer people (lesbians and trans girls) and USVA demonstrated very directly, that they are not queer friendly and have zero respect for the trans community. At the end of the night, a lady in the women’s change room complained to the staff that there were “two men” in there and that they were uncomfortable (keep in mind they did absolutely nothing to make them feel uncomfortable other than simply exist). Rather than the staff handling this complaint between them, she came into the change room. My friends were in a change stall changing for the evening and when they came out were confronted by this staff member who told them about this complaint in front of everyone. HOW HUMILIATING. Other people felt uncomfortable by the staffs approach and expressed their support to our friends. Truly it was an absolutely unacceptable exchange, especially to a paying customer. Not that this should even be necessary, but they don’t offer a non binary/any gender change room so it’s completely on them for not making it a safe space. Following this, they insisted that our two friends sit aside at the front lobby while they called their manager, even after my friend expressed they just wanted to pay and leave. They returned suggesting that while they are “allowed to return” they will need to use a separate washroom. I fail to imagine that there will be another time, where anyone in this situation would want to return just to be othered and segregated. More mistreatment happened after this confrontation but I won’t get into it, just know that if you’re queer steer clear of USVA. They would rather make the most comfortable people in society feel comfortable and don’t care at all about the wellness of LGBTQ+ community.

Today was my first time visiting this spa. It's a wonderful place, and the reception staff was amazing. For my service, I chose a massage with a therapist named Abril, and she did an extraordinary job; she's definitely a great professional. The massage completely relieved me. Afterward, I went to the cafeteria and tried a delicious apple and honey cheese sandwich. From there, I went to the thermal area. As night fell, I enjoyed the bonfire area, the spa, and the pool. Without a doubt, it was a wonderful day. Cell phone use isn't allowed, so the tranquility is complete.,, so you felt truly at peace.

Spent the afternoon into the evening here and enjoyed it very much, being there into the dark is really beautiful. My friend had never done a cold plunge and was glad to have warmth close by in the sauna after trying the bucket. Getting in the cold pool was easier with the hot tub in sight! Having been to other mordic spa places this would be better if they had more options, we did try the infared chairs but felt like we should have done the neurospa. I was on a waitlist for a massage but was told no therapists were available. It seemed like the random sitting areas could be used for another hot tub or better lounge furniture for naps. The hammocks look lovely but are not comfy and even the indoor ones were chilly but may be great in summer. I read by the firetable which does not warm up the space but the rocking chairs were great. It was disappointing that the barrel sauna was out of order. While I appreciated being able to walk an easier path over taking the stairs due to a knee injury, it would be quite a hike for someone with mobility issues. Everyone working was courteous and attentive and my friend's birthday was well spent, including free drinks at the café and a small discount. Good option if you are in Moncton and want to unplug and unwind, looking forward to the new build!
