What a wonderful studio, with lots of great classes to choose from. I attended Judi's stretching class, and really appreciated her expertise and guidance. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming too. Thank-you! 🤗

I really wanted to enjoy my visit because the class itself was actually quite good. Judy offered helpful modifications and the workout felt balanced, not too hard and not too easy. Unfortunately, everything that happened after class left me feeling disappointed. When I asked to use the showers, I was first told it was not possible because of water restrictions. I explained that I needed to get ready for work in about twenty minutes and that I would be showering regardless. The explanation suddenly changed to it being an extra service. I felt a bit confused and honestly a little let down. It is hard not to feel brushed aside when the story shifts like that. I found this studio through ClassPass and they do advertise their amenities. I understand that ClassPass policies can vary, but this situation could have been handled with more clarity and care. I left feeling like my presence was more of an inconvenience than anything else, which is unfortunate because the class itself had potential. I hope they take this feedback to heart. I will not be returning, but I truly wish the team well and hope future guests have a smoother experience.

A super friendly, spacious and well equipped space that offers a real family-feeling. Very happy to live as close to this gym as I do and will be making the most of the beautiful space offered at such a reasonable price. Really helpful/ welcoming staff and a free get-to-know session from Karen offered a great way to get started and make the most of all of the equipment. Loads of classes and fun additions happening all the time. Would highly recommend!

I’ve been visiting The Academy | Gym on 11 Ave for a while now, and it has truly become an oasis of health and inspiration for me. The space is wonderfully organized: there’s a separate area for yoga and stretching, plenty of strength and cardio machines, a free-weights zone, and everything is spotless, spacious, and comfortable. A special thank-you to Anna for her stretching classes—her sessions help me relax while steadily improving flexibility and body awareness. At the front desk, Henry always greets you with a warm smile, shows you where you can wait comfortably, and makes sure you feel welcome. His friendly approach adds a special touch and shows how much the staff care about every guest. The whole team pays attention to every detail: cleanliness, comfort, and genuine hospitality turn this gym into more than just a workout space—it feels like a community you want to come back to. If you’re looking for a gym where you can enjoy different activities, receive professional support, and feel truly comfortable, The Academy | Gym is exactly the place. I recommend it wholeheartedly!
