Urs and Erika are excellent! I have gone to Strands for years and have loved the services they provide. I have curly hair and have had it styled both long and short as well as having it coloured. They were amazing when I was ill a number of years ago and helped me to regain my hair and skin health!! Truly an excellent salon for hair and skin care

I have been seeing Urs and Erika for over 20 years. They are very skilled, informative and welcoming. Urs is a master in the industry and is always on top of the new and changing products coming into the hair world. Highly recommend.

Great experience! I’ve been doing my hair for the last 30 some years at Strands. Urs and Erika have years of experience and incredible knowledge, I always leave the salon with amazing cut and colour that lasts. Amazing service, visits always filled with fun and great advice. DAMAGED hair after Inca Glow treatment. Like other reviewer said, I had lovely conversation with Erica and Urs earlier during the process which took five hours. However, concerns and red flags started popping up early. Erica used harsh buildup removing shampoo, three times on my vulnerable and dry hair. I thought that was part of the process. She then combed my overly dry hair and blow dried it. She then applied Inca Glow paste, which I could barely see. Other YouTube videos showed visible creamy substance. After 45 minutes, it was washed off, blow dried again and what followed next was the most uncomfortable and concerned I was as she took tiny pieces of hair strands and ran hot iron 10 times each strand. She was extremely slow but methodical. I felt my hair and it was stiff but I still let her continue thinking at some point the softness and silkiness should come through. When she was done, I was horrified. My hair felt extremely stiff straw-like. I told her that, but she confidently stated: “No, that’s how it supposed to feel and look. You don’t know how healthy hair feels.” I was shocked at the arrogance to tell me this. I never bleached or permed my hair. Always used organic and the best hair products including bonding serums and oils. My hair was dehydrated- yes, but it wasn’t in the state that couldn’t be treated to become silky and soft. The other red flags during the conversation were her telling me to never go to bed with damp/wet hair as that will ‘cause dandruff or fungal. Also, apparently drug store L’Oréal or Clairol hair color is better than Herbatint. Look at videos online and they all show hair looks shiny and silky and most importantly it’s bouncy and MOVING! after the treatment. Mine looked like it was fried by the sun in Sahara desert of I was stranded there for a month! Don’t know their skills regarding hair cuts but I would not recommend this salon for Inca Glow treatment. Oh yeah, she saw how terrified and upset I looked and still tried selling me shampoo and other after care products. Just put them on the table and walked away. Didn’t try to rectify anything, offer a solution. Just cold attitude. And I paid $270 for it. Days later I’m still dealing with damage and it will take a while to recover.

One of the best experiences I have had at a salon. Erika did an amazing job giving me a keratin treatment. Very knowledgeable, professional, and patient. Both salon owners are very personable and friendly and made me feel welcome and at home during a long treatment. I would highly recommend this salon!
