Dr. Avelino Verdadero is incredibly knowledgeable and truly compassionate. My pet was having trouble walking, and he took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on and what our options were. We didn’t felt rush during the physical examination. He even gave a quote for how much it would cost me so I can decide before he proceeds. He handled my pet so gently and with so much care. You can tell he genuinely loves animals and wants the best for them. I’m so grateful for his patience, expertise, and kindness during such a stressful time. I also want to say thank you to Hunter the (Vet’s assistant.) She was also gentle and kind, and did everything she could to calm my dog. I highly recommend this vet clinic. 💯

Thanks again, Neya truly went above and beyond for us. We were able to bring our big guy in for a meet & greet beforehand, and she took the time to show us a few different spaces to make sure he’d feel comfortable during his visit, which meant so much. We came in for his vaccines and rabies shot, and he did exceptionally well. Dr. Johnston made sure he was completely comfortable the whole time and came prepared with tons of treats (which he was a huge fan of!). For such a big guy, it can sometimes be tricky to position him where you need him, but she had no problem getting down on his level and working with him calmly and confidently. I honestly expected a bit of drama because of the malamute in him — but Dr. Johnston was amazing. He didn’t even flinch or let out a single yelp. We had such a great experience and would absolutely recommend checking out this Veterinary Clinic. The whole team was incredible 🤍

The staff at the South Saskatchewan animal hospital were very friendly and quite efficient when we came in and needed emergency care for my dog when i inadvertently fed her grapes. Yes it was very costly, but that is the cost of having a pet and I am so very grateful for their quick response to the situation. So learning tip- DONT FEED YOUR DOG GRAPES, they are very poisonous to dogs. Also, please google what else is your dog should not eat. We are 2 days out and my baby is doing well post stomach pump.

I had an emergency a couple of days ago. Both my cat and dog had eaten raisin tarts. The clinic got us in quickly and took care of them. They called throughout the day and night with updates and took great care of them. I’m happy to say they are both doing great. The staff and doctors were exceptional. Thank you for being there.

5 isn't enough stars. I don't want to bore everyone with the details but our kitty got sick to the point that we were preparing to say goodbye to him. The kindness that everyone showed to us, from front-end staff, Vet Techs, to the Doctors and Management, was incredible. I can't imagine the whole staff liked seeing me sob in the front office, but they were all so understanding and wonderful, one even offered me a hug. Before the final goodbyes, the Manager took me aside and offered another option that ended up saving our little kitty "Buster" I am overjoyed to report, Buster is back in his basket where he belongs thanks to many prayers and wonderful assistance from the entire staff here at South Saskatchewan Animal Hospital. I cannot thank them enough, as he is such an important member of our family. My wife, boys, and I, can't stop giving him pets and snuggles. We are grateful to you all. The first two pictures are the before and last two photos, praise The Lord, are the best ones.
