Great Location, Friendly Staff — and Noticeable Improvements in Equipment Repairs Planet Fitness has a convenient central location and, for the most part, the facility is relatively clean. The staff generally come across as friendly, and the overall vibe is what you’d expect from a typical gym. For a long time, the condition of the equipment was a major, ongoing issue. Cardio machines frequently sat with “Out of Order” signs for weeks or months, and weight machines weren’t much better. It wasn’t unusual to find only one working machine for a particular exercise—or none at all. Safety concerns were part of the picture too, with broken equipment sometimes left untagged even after being reported. The Good News: Repairs Are Finally Improving In the past few weeks, there’s been a noticeable shift. More machines are being repaired, fewer “Out of Order” signs are lingering, and the overall state of the equipment is better than it has been in a long time. It’s clear that maintenance is starting to catch up, and that makes a real difference in both safety and member experience. Why This Matters Regular equipment checks and timely repairs aren’t optional—they’re essential for a gym that sees this much traffic. The recent improvements show that the concerns raised by members are being heard, and that the facility is taking steps in the right direction. Bottom Line Planet Fitness still has a lot going for it: location, cleanliness, friendly staff, and affordable membership. The long-standing equipment issues were a major drawback, but the recent improvements in repairs are a welcome change. If this momentum continues, it will go a long way toward rebuilding confidence and keeping members safe and satisfied. The clearest proof that this review is being taken seriously is the noticeable improvement in the gym’s safety and care.

Staff are great and place is clean. Problem is so much equipment out of service and takes months to get fixed. Members were told service repairs come from head office. This is Kelowna BC. And head office better get moving as many of us are getting tired of not being able to use the equipment

Very clean, staff is extremely polite, kind and positive, huge space with many machines, there is always something to train on and patrons are not sleeping on machines. It has been a positive experience every single time and i am 100% satisfied i gave it a try. Also enjoyed the music variations as you can place your own choice of music via the phone app. Only wish it was 24/7 as it close at night on Saturdays/Sundays.

Been going to this gym for over a year. There are numerous broken machines that have been that way for over a month. Positive is staff always friendly and helpful.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED !!! Dec 30,Dec31 and Jan 1 staff member refused allowing me to use massage chairs. I was fully mindful of the time each day i understand fully how its like when its time to close, each day i approached 20min before the closing time. This staff member made an excuse as they are cleaning the services, or its not free(which i can clearly see they are available) i monitored no staff member went in and cleaned it, (i left without accusing and thought i ll observe what he is upto) i observed everything from the parking lot, he let other people go after me, other staff member had let people use the services!!! this is HIGHLY discouraging, disrespectful and exploiting company’s reputation, really immature of staff member, i dont even know why he didnt want me to use them, never had any issue with any other employees they are super chill so Am i with them! But this staff member really need to understand we arent using their owned property we as gym members pay for those services and if we dont get to use it what is point of advertising then. I hope this get to management before they start losing the business.
