We hired Pear Tree to shoot both our engagement session and our wedding day, and they truly exceeded every expectation. When we first met David for our engagement shoot, we knew we made the right choice. He arrived early and was already scoping out our location for unique shot ideas. He even encouraged hopping in our cars mid session to drive to second and third location to get a variety of scenery and props - our entire engagement shoot feels like it tells a story of a date night. David has the most amazing eye for lighting, backgrounds, and poses, and his creativity shines through in every shot. He made me and my husband feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera and told us exactly how to stand to make sure he captured our best angles. On our wedding day, David and Sasha were professional, on time, and helped ensure our day ran smoothly. They again captured beautiful images of all our special moments, as well as fabulous candids and posed photos of all of our guests. We had many guests tell us how impressed they were with both the friendliness of our photographers and the quality of the images. We were shocked (in the best way!) to receive a large volume of beautifully edited sneak peek photos just 24 hours after both shoots. The remainder of the galleries were also delivered quickly — and without ever compromising quality. Every image was stunning, thoughtfully composed, and perfectly captured the emotion and joy of our day. With over 3000 edited photos delivered it truly feels like we are reliving every moment of our special day when looking through our gallery We’re beyond grateful to have had David as our photographer and can’t recommend Pear Tree highly enough to anyone looking for talented, creative, and genuinely wonderful professionals to work with. I recently had the pleasure of having the team at pear tree photography at my 25th wedding anniversary. Because it was a very last minute decision to host the event I was nervous that I would not be able to get anyone to do my photography. Irene was quick in response to my online request and I could tell she had lots of experience as she brought up many aspects of the videography process that I wasn’t thinking about. On the day of the event, Alan and Jonathan arrived at quite early. They immediately asked me what I wanted to focus on during the filming. Then they went to work. They were familiar with the venue and suggested many options for our family to take some beautiful family shots. As promised the sneak peak came in no time. The photos were beautiful and captured the event beautifully. Thank you everyone at Pear tree for helping me preserve my special day! And I would most definitely have you assist us in the future!

After an extensive search for our wedding photographer, we found Pear Tree Photography. Browsing through their past wedding photoshoots, we instantly liked what we saw. The principles of photography were well executed, and it fit the style of photography that appealed to us. Through our engagement shoot and wedding day, David was a pleasure to work with, making us feel at ease, and coming up with great ideas for different photos (even if we required some persuasion at times as we can be a bit stubborn). Many family and friends commented on what a wonderful experience they had interacting with David and the Pear Tree team. We feel extremely lucky to have had David and Alan be part of our big day, and they contributed to making it the best day of our lives. We recently did a family photoshoot with Pear Tree Photography to celebrate our dad’s 80th birthday, and it was a truly wonderful experience. David, our photographer, was warm, professional, and incredibly patient. He brought a calm, confident energy to the session and made everyone—from teens to grandparents—feel at ease. We were a group ranging in age from 15 to 80, and David handled the dynamics of a large multi-generational family beautifully. The shoot took place on Granville Island, and he made the most of the setting, light, and background to capture stunning, natural photos that feel both timeless and personal. These photos are more than just beautiful images—they’re keepsakes that reflect the love, laughter, and connection of a very special day. We’ll treasure them for years to come.
