Please do not waste your money. I have been getting my nails done in Calgary since I was 14, and I have honestly never had an experience this bad. Yesterday I came back to this salon for a fill after previously getting a full set here for my birthday, which cost me $100. When I came in for the fill, I ended up paying almost the same price as a brand new set. The reason I came to this salon is because their Instagram page looks so good and the sets look so clean. My nails look nothing like those pictures. They’ve never looked this bad after getting them done. I usually go to city nails in the NE. They really care about their service and will offer coupons if anything goes wrong and care about their clients. The fill itself was $61, which is already higher than most salons that typically charge around $50, but I accepted that. However, I was then charged an additional $20 for a French tip. This felt excessive considering a French tip actually uses less polish than painting the entire nail. I understand that you are paying for the technician’s time, but the work was not done well. There were visible specks in the French tips. I also specifically told the technician that the last time she did my nails, they chipped almost immediately. I asked her to make sure she properly sealed them and applied extra top coat to the areas that chipped before. Unfortunately, she did not do that, and my nail chipped again the very next day. The nails are also not painted properly so they already looked a bit chipped from the edges. You can also see my grown out natural nails at the sides. There was also a strange orange product buildup near the base of my nails that looked like leftover acrylic powder residue that had not been properly cleaned or finished. It made the nails look messy and poorly done. Another issue was that I asked three separate times for my natural nails underneath to be shaved down properly. She did file them a little, but I clearly explained that I did not want to see my natural nails at all and wanted the set to look clean. She did not remove them properly, she said she couldn’t do anymore. The next day my nail under my thumb lifted. I ended up having to go to another nail salon just to have them shaved down properly. They were able to do it so I’m not sure why I was told it wasn’t possible. On top of that, they charged me an additional $5 for “long nails.” These nails are nowhere near long. In fact, they are the shortest acrylic nails I have ever gotten. If they were any shorter, they would have just been the same as gel nails. After realizing I had basically paid almost the full price of a new set for a poorly done fill, I went back and asked for my $5 back. The owner seemed annoyed and did not apologize for the situation. Ironically, I was the one apologizing because I felt uncomfortable asking for my money back. She tried to offer me a $3 cuticle oil instead of refunding the $5, which I declined because at that point I just wanted my money back. I should’ve gotten way more than $5 back. I regret coming back to this salon. The pricing feels dishonest and the customer service was very disappointing. I have never left a review but I literally feel awful for wasting my money here. Getting your nails done should be a calm and relaxing experience.

First time coming here and I must say the experience is amazing 100/10 :) amazing friendly staff. Great job on doing my Manicure :) Definitely coming back

• Equipment is not properly sanitized, which is a serious hygiene concern. • Prices are high, but the service quality is far below expectations. • The manager lacks the ability to handle situations properly. • Responses and interactions are completely unprofessional. • Even if you politely ask, they get upset, and equipment used for multiple clients without proper disinfection can spread diseases epidemic-style. I recommend avoiding this place because they clearly don’t care about customer health and hygiene, only care about profit, and customer satisfaction is not important to them at all.

I am very disappointed with my experience at this salon. The tools were not disinfected, which is unacceptable in a nail salon environment. When I politely asked Amy to disinfect the tools before using them on me, she refused and became unprofessional. Instead of addressing the hygiene concern, the manager told me they would not provide service to me. Client safety should always come first. Refusing service because a client asks for proper sanitation is concerning.

I visited Nail It Salon at 100 129 8 Ave SW in Calgary. Irene worked on my thickened toenails and did an excellent job. She was professional and showed strong experience in her work. Another staff member first spoke with me about the nail cutting service but later declined, which was confusing, but Irene handled everything very well. I was happy with the service I received and recommend asking for Irene if you need careful and skilled nail work.

I came in for a regular manicure and she demolished my nails. Here is a picture of how bad my nails were filed. This is a couple weeks after. It was done on my natural healthy nails prior to that. Over-filed

Booked my appointment here last minute since I wasn’t able to book my usual place. Asked for a design which turned out looking good but I ended up paying $125 for my set; apparently I was charged for every nail gem they put on my nails but was only informed of this extra charge at the time of payment. I know designs and nail art usually come with an extra cost, but that price for a set of nails is insane, especially considering my nail lady didn’t inform me of it beforehand. Also my nails have started to chip and the color is going away on some fingers after only about 10 days. Chose this place as a last-minute resort but I wouldn’t come back here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone that wants a good quality set.

I had such a great experience with Irene at NailsIt in Calgary! She did an amazing job with my shellac color — super precise, smooth, and flawless. The application looks perfect and the finish is so shiny and professional. She also took her time to make sure the shape was exactly how I wanted it, and she was really friendly and attentive throughout the whole appointment. I’ve gotten so many compliments already! Definitely recommend Irene if you’re looking for beautiful nails and top-notch service.

Happiest I’ve ever been getting my nails done. Best nail salon I’ve been to. My nail tech was running the show and she killed it. She made sure all the extensions were the same length, she was kind (even though I was accidentally 10 minutes late), she made sure the gel curing wasn’t uncomfortable. Plus she was answering calls from customers and staying up to date on company instagram DMs. Her attention to detail was amazingly. Cost breakdown: Plain nail extension was $70 Plus $10 for the “cat eye” (holographic) gel polish Plus a $10 tip I payed about $91 with tax.
