I do not recommend this company, I was given the minimal rate for them on the phone. Once they open up your pipes it seems only convenient to let them follow through. They charged me over $600 to clear some hair from a bathroom sink. I wish I had read all the other negative reviews before I hired them. R.Sundher

Mr. Rooter did not give me an estimate until the plumber had arrived, despite the fact that it is a ‘menu’ item, and I would be charged the highest amount regardless of the work carried out. This prevented me from getting a cheaper alternative, because of the urgency of the problem. I resent having paid $1000/hr! (For work I have had done for under $500 in the past.) I will not recommend this service to anyone, and will, in fact, recommend against using it.

I cannot recommend against using Mr. Rooter strongly enough. The technicians seemed bothered just having to do the job, and the pricing is absolutely a gouge — borderline predatory. In contrast, other providers (such as Royal Rooter) offer far more thorough service, with better technology, more knowledgeable staff, and superior technique — at about a quarter of the cost. Save yourself the frustration and expense: find anyone else.

Dan and his team from Mr. Rooter Plumbing did a sewer line replacement for me. An emergency plumber I had called had given me the bad news that my very old clay pipes were collapsing, and that pieces of pipe were the thing that were causing the block. The emergency plumber cleared the line, but told me that it would likely soon collapse completely. After calling a couple places, Mr. Rooter got back to me the fastest. They had someone out to do a quote within a few days, and we had the team out here a few weeks later. It was a complex job, involving a multiple hydrovac trucks, lots of manual digging, a doing a pipe burst and pull with a very long new line. The team was very respectful the entire time, and did their best to avoid damages to our garden where part of the dig happened. They cleaned up the dig area and all their equipment and the old damage pieces promptly when the work was done. Overall a very good experience, I'd recommend them to anyone.
