The spa is very clean . The staff are very nice . I got the Ancient chinese Hair wash cb2 with Nancy. She is very nice , experienced. I will be back definitely.

Hello, my name is 玛莎 (or just Maria). I'm a Chinese speaking Ukrainian blogger who's in love with Chinese culture and currently live in Vancouver. I had an appointment at the L'atelier on the 16th of February 2026 at 3pm for Chinese hair wash+scalp massage. I booked a slot via Class Pass and received the confirmation email and a reminder in Class Pass on the day of my appointment. I did not put 1 star here only because of my deepest respect to all of my Chinese friends and teachers, and also because of the NY celebration on that day. So, as I got some extra creadits from Class Pass, my original plan was to support one of the local Chinese businesses here in Van, to make a short video about my Lunar NY activities in Vancouver and support the place/help them with promotion. However, the experience I had there made me forget about all of the good mood and inspiration I had before arriving. 1. The technician was late for more than 30 min for my appointment. I arrived earlier, so I waited for like 40 min there. It seemed like she did not even know that she was supposed to work on that day, so the management/booking system MUST be reviewed there. 2. The staff offered to rebook me on the other day, because they were late and I couldn't stay for the full time procedure. However, I already spent my time to come there and paid $30 CAD for parking (L'atelier doesn't offer their own parking spots). It is obvios that I didn't want to rebook taking into account that I already wasted too much of my time there. NO discounts or free next session was offered to me as an apology. 3. The procedure itself was interesting, BUT the music requires a special attention. The Chinese instrumental music played on the background during my session was interrupted with loud YouTube advertisements like every 5-6 minutes. Please, change that. Buy premium subscription for your place or use one playlist without those weird annoying ads in between. For the luxury spa place next to Canada Place in the city center it is just unaccebtable. 4. The cleanliness of the space needs some attention too. I made one photo while waiting for my technician and that was FRONT DESK area: dirty floor with a napkin (or piece of paper) on it. There was also one used napkin on the table next to the sofas. I could not attach the photos on my Class Pass review, but I did attach those here. 5. It was difficult to relax knowing that you're late for all the other activities planned for the rest of the day not because of my fault. 我如果在中国的话，这种服务我肯定不会付钱。 I wish you to get organized guys. This premium location is loosing its value with such an awful management. Good luck and take care.

Booking was easy and staff were friendly, making for a relaxing experience. However, the Chanel polish 💅🏻chipped within a day and my cuticles looked worse than before. The photos shows how my nails looked after just two days:

This was one of the best nail experiences I’ve ever had, full stop. I’ve tried a lot of salons in Vancouver over the years, and L’atelier truly stands out in terms of quality, attention to detail, and overall vibe. The space is bright, beautiful, and spotless. Everything feels calm, elevated, and thoughtfully designed. You can tell they care about your comfort as much as your nails! I booked a hard gel fill with full cuticle care and custom nail art, and Jenny (my tech) was an absolute angel!!!! I showed her a reference photo that involved picking six different colours, and she matched them instantly, it was like magic!!!!! She was so precise, kind, and really listened to what I wanted. I’d also previously had issues with burning under the curing light at other places, and she adjusted everything without me even needing to explain much. No burning at all!!!!! Just smooth, gentle care. It was a bit pricier than a basic fill, but honestly? Completely worth it. The time, effort, skill, and products they use really show. My nails turned out perfect, and the final touch with Chanel lotion at the end was such a lovely detail. If you're looking for a place that takes nail care seriously and makes you feel truly pampered, this is it! Thank you for such a lovely experience!!
