“Postpartum exercise is important” yet… please don’t bring your 2 month old baby, sleeping, in a car seat to the gym. Out of the way of all machines. Of all gym members. Child minding is excellent, my older toddler attends. But, there should be absolutely nothing preventing a mom from doing this. This rule caters to the lowest common denominator. Magically “something falls” from the sky? If that’s the case, no adult should be allowed in the gym. Come on Edmonton. Can’t we do better?

I want to love this place but the resources are so limited it’s infuriating. To show up 10 minutes after child minding opens to be sent away because they aren’t taking any more children, which means they will likely be at capacity for 2 hours. I can’t wait with my 1 year old, and it’s not exactly easy to get out the door with small children. And now I simply don’t get to go to the gym today to use the membership I pay for, INCLUDING AN EXTRA FEE for child minding. Infuriating, and a waste of my valuable time and resources.

The facility is fantastic but this place gets a 1star. The limited parking. It is insane as to how many times I show up to workout, As a member, and there is an event going on taking all the parking. It's atrocious! The worst part? How are we supposed to even know about these events when nothing, Nothing, is posted on the website? You may have the individual classes like lift and aquatics posted but you guys absolutely fail in posting out-sourced events for members knowledge. Terrible planning on management.

I decide to go workout with my city membership. Motivation is low so it takes time to convince myself to go. Finially after much procrastion, I gain the courage to head down and am excited for a workout. Parking lot is full. Overflow parking is full. The no parking areas are even full. I drive for 20 minutes trying to find a spot somewhere/anywhere but it's hopeless as everyone else is doing the same thing. I give up and go home. The Kinsmen sucks.

Kinsmen Play Park and Spray Park! It’s the perfect spot for families with kids of all ages. The playground has lots of fun and safe equipment, with areas for both little ones and older kids to enjoy. There’s plenty of space to run around and explore. The spray park is a huge hit—especially on a hot day! Lots of water features to splash in, and it’s well maintained and clean. We appreciated how the area has lots of shaded spots, benches, and picnic tables for parents to relax while keeping an eye on the kids. There are also washrooms nearby and lots of green space if you want to bring a picnic or just stretch out on a blanket. It really feels like a full day outing without having to leave the city. There are also many amenities inside the sports centre. Highly recommend it for a fun, free, and family-friendly outing!
