My son had a great experience at Island Kids! He was a little hesitant and nervous in other offices, but he was very relaxed and calm during his appointment here! Friendly and welcoming staff!

Island kids is very good at correcting the extreme cases for kids but they fall very short in maintenance. My daughter was unfortunately one of the extreme cases that required surgery. Their work of her teeth was impeccable however she came out of the surgery, quite traumatized. Regular checkups following were fine until she had a small cavity on the exterior of her tooth. they suggested Gass to help calm her and be able to fill the cavity. My daughter wouldn’t let them touch her. She’s squirmed and cried, and at the end the dentist did it without any gas or freezing really quickly. The gas was never used, but I was charged for it of course. Fast-forward a year later we come in for another exam and Cleaning and doctor. Tomash told us my daughter had four cavities that needed to be fixed KNOWING FULL WELL her extreme anxiety after her dental surgery. I asked if there were ANY other alternative options for her to this and he said “NO” that it was necessary. We left very upset and dejected from that office my daughter was in tears. I then made an appointment at my dentist to have a second opinion. The office sent over the x-rays and he did a thorough exam of my daughter‘s mouth. The end result? No work needed to be done in his opinion. I very much trust my dentist. Since going to him myself, I’ve had the least amount of dental work done ever. And my teeth have never been healthier. I would urge any parent going to see island kids to get a second opinion. My dentist said that the treatment that Dr. Thomas suggested was very aggressive and in his opinion not necessary. We are going to continue with her at home oral care and do our regular check ups and just watch the teeth in question. We are thrilled but I am also quite angry that Island kids, knowing my daughter’s anxiety would make a diagnosis like this. We are grateful for the work they did for my daughter’s molars though and my dentist did mention that they did impeccable work and are very good at the extreme cases. I Hope my story helps someone.

We had a wonderful experience! My 22 month old was definiely quite overwhelmed initially with the experience but the hygienest and dentist were so great to keep her calm and to create a positive first experience for her. Would recommend!

We had our first visit today and everyone was so great. They made sure my son felt so comfortable and safe. Very child focussed. Dr. Tomash was really friendly and approachable and shared really helpful information. He also listened really well, as did the hygienist. Very happy we chose this office.

We had such an amazing experienced in this clinic. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Dr Tomash understands our financial situation thus he had called public dental society if they can accommodate us. I forgot the name of the dental assistant but she was angel! My daughter was relaxed with her. Cathy on reception counter was superb as everyone else. She explained the bill well. Service with smile and heart ❤️
