My car broke down on the way home from work, and InstaMek (and Jeff!) were such a lifesaver. I didn’t have to worry about towing or figuring out where to take my car — I just found them online, gave them a call, and Jeff came right to me. He had everything he needed to check things out on the spot and walked me through what was going on. Getting the quote and approving it online was super easy. This was my first time using Instamek but the service was fantastic. Great initial phone service, clear communication, upfront estimate, text updates and arrived on time. Jeff was great to deal with, had everything prepared when he arrived, very knowledgeable, and didn’t waste any time. Also offered some free advice on regular service and maintenance. Very nice guy and will definitely use again.

instaMek has been my go to mechanic for a few years now. Having a mobile mechanic has been very convenient to me. Their pricing is fair and every mechanic so far has been knowledgeable, friendly, and done solid work. The experience is very coordinated from abundant communication and fast response times (quotes, reminders, invoices, reports). Please note that for more significant issues, you'll definitely need to go to a shop. Recently, Jeff was my mechanic for a scheduled service. He has a lot of experience and showed attention to detail by asking me if there were any issues I wanted to flag to him at the start of service. When Jeff was done he let me know what to monitor and what items would need service next time. I would definitely recommend the business to anyone who is in their service area.

First time trying a mobile mechanic for a pre purchase inspection. The vehicle was at a dealer lot and I couldn't be there at the time of inspection. I was pleased with communication I received from InstaMek, I was constantly kept informed and customer service contacted me in the morning and was able to get my appointment booked on the same day. The report had photos and explanations of concerns, but initially I experienced some difficulty accessing all the images. I feel that InstaMek's rating system for the vehicle gave it a higher score than the the items noted on the inspection warranted. Just like a home inspection I want the inspector to be very picky/particular. Priced at ~$260 for the inspection, it was a higher cost than bringing the car to a shop, but the flexibility was great as small dealer lots often won't accommodate taking the car off site for an inspection. I ended up not putting an offer on the car that InstaMek inspected. I would recommend InstaMek for vehicles in better condition selling for >$10,000. For the vehicles in my price range, I will look more critically at all aspects prior to booking another PPI as the cost for multiple inspections adds up.

Very happy with the service I got from Jeff and Instamek. I viewed a second hand vehicle on Saturday afternoon and knew I wanted to buy it, but needed a pre purchase inspection to feel confident in the purchase, and knew I had to move quickly to not lose the vehicle. Within 5 minutes of calling Instamek they booked me in for a Monday morning appointment. Jeff was five minutes early to the address, did a thorough inspection of the car over the next hour, and I was emailed a comprehensive report by early afternoon and was able to move forward with the purchase the next day. It's a good service and was a lot faster than trying to find an appointment at a garage. Happy to recommend these guys!
