Their appliance delivery team, customer service, and/or computer systems are an utter joke. My ventless washing machine / dryer combo was delivered into MY KITCHEN on December 22 2025. I was short on space downstairs, and spacing out from a bad cold, and I told them I could take it down myself. A 245 pound washing machine. By myself. An out of shape 40-something guy. Without either guy asking if I had a strong friend to help me, or even asking if I knew that it was much heavier than the old non-combo machines. I spent from January 5 until February 9 wasting my time with a terrible chatbot on the website, which then eventually let me talk to various different under-trained and/or over-worked customer service people. That happened six different times. In addition to that, I also made a phone call (to another useless customer service person) and went in person twice between those different website chats. Even the in-person appliance manager and the more senior customer service person had either no information to give, or some policy to follow about giving any actual info. (I worked a few customer service jobs; I know some clowns want to swindle their way to the front of the line. This is still a joke - you could penalize those rare customers who abuse the system.) I was always told "our sub-contractor will contact you", waiting days at a time. They happened to switch contractors, but this is a total nightmare of useless mis-communication. I finally called a moving company myself on February 11, and they scheduled the move downstairs for February 16. (The very next Monday.) They enthusiastically gave me a discount. (In addition to hauling some smaller items like some left-over boards from a carpentry project.) I'm certain they'd been dealing with other Home Depot customers since Christmas. I'm only giving two stars instead of 1, because they still sell pretty decent tools in person.

UPDATE: JAN. 2, 2026 AND ATILL NO STOVE. THIS IS NOW A BBB ISSUE. Update: it is Dec. 31, after 5pm. No call, no stove. Why am I not surprised? Update: a lady from home depot called this afternoon, and after having to call Toronto (?), it will be delivered tomorrow afternoon. Update: After numerous phone calls to home depot (we are on the line again right now), and with the delivery place, called Canada Cartage, C C says they don't have it, they don't deliver appliances and only do doors and windows. So, home depot, where is our stove/oven/ range? I think the Better Business Bureau needs a call. So we went to HOME DEPOT on circle and bought a new stove on Dec.16. Told it was due for delivery on Dec 24. but it probably wouldn't happen. Ok, Christmas eve, got it, so she told us Dec 27. OK, we are still good, we can wait. It is now Dec. 30, Sam is on the phone with lord knows how many people to find out what's going on, where our purchase is, and if someone decided to keep it, I don't know. We have never had such shoddy service there before, and we probably never will again. My question is: If the store sent it out for shipping and it hasn't been shipped, why isn't the store doing the legwork to find the merchandise and have it delivered? Why does the customer have to do it all? We paid for a stove, not to do your jobs for you. No wonder people shop online.

Absolute horrible customer service (except for Mark the sales associate. He’s fantastic!) Purchased a fridge November 26th. Did not arrive until December 18th….10 days late. The order was “lost.” Would not issue a refund until the item was delivered. Could not get any response from anyone at store level so had to email head office. Even was told to contact LG myself. Got excuses like bad weather and the delivery driver was sick. Was supposed to be given 200.00 in a refund. Only gave me 166.50. and still have a fridge with 2 dents in it.

Good selection of products and the staff are readily available to help you. The store is quite big so it definitely helps. The bins at the end of the aisles also have some good deals sometimes like tape measures for a dollar which is handy.

My husband and I visited the paint section today (Nov 29th, 2025) around 2pm. We ordered paint, and I have to give a giant shout out to the wonderful lady that helped us, she explained the finishes and took the time to really help us understand. She even went out of her way to stop me before leaving and help me with the roller type, no price difference, just a helpful tip. I did not catch her name but im sure the information I gave will be helpful. She knows her stuff and her customer service that we dont see much of anymore was amazing, Thank you.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Bought a very expensive toilet, got it delivered Delivery person put it on the front porch and left without a signature. Plumber came to install it, opened the box, and no surprise, tank AND toilet are broken. After an hour of negotiating their AI text service, it tells me that they cannot help me and that I’m going to call another number the next day. I called that number only to get thrown back into AI hell. Eventually, I was able to speak to a human, but they were entirely useless as well. They won’t just replace the toilet. No. We have to return the toilet, get a refund and then order a new one. Why is it up to us to arrange all of that? Why can’t the “customer service” people do it? Customer service in this company is a lie. I would not recommend buying anything of value from the store. They won’t help you if there’s a problem with it spend your money at a local Canadian lumberyard like Co-op or Adams Lumber.
