For a gym that charges around $100 per month, the lack of maintenance is disappointing. Broken machines, dirty equipment, and amenities like the sauna and massage chairs frequently not working seem to be a recurring issue across locations. It often feels like a coin toss whether everything will actually be functional when you arrive. Towels aren’t provided either, which might be understandable if the facilities were consistently well maintained—but that hasn’t been the case. At this price point, members should be able to rely on clean facilities and fully working equipment. The gyms have potential, but the maintenance and consistency across locations clearly need much more attention.

Extremely Unprofessional Experience My husband and I had a scheduled gym tour at GoodLife Fitness Brewery District, Edmonton with a staff member named Scott Banks, and the experience was beyond disappointing. Our original tour was booked for February 9 at 6:00 PM. Because I couldn’t leave work on time, I called the club around 5:10 PM to ask if the appointment could be rescheduled. The woman I spoke with said she would speak to Scott and get back to me. I never received a call or email. The next day, February 10 around 11:30 AM, I called again and asked to speak directly with Scott. I was placed on hold and then the call was abruptly disconnected. I didn’t have time to keep calling and waiting. Then at 1:46 PM, I suddenly received an email confirming the appointment Despite all this, my husband and I still showed up, because we had recently moved to the area and were genuinely interested in joining this gym. We arrived early at 5:45 PM. The front desk staff were polite and had us fill out forms and asked us to wait, which was completely fine. However, Scott never showed up. We waited until 6:00, 6:10, 6:15, and 6:20 PM. Not once did Scott come out. No one informed us of a delay. No one checked on us. No courtesy, no professionalism, no respect for our time. If he wasn’t coming or was running late, the bare minimum would have been to communicate. This was our first impression of GoodLife Fitness in a new city, and it was awful. If this is how potential members are treated before even signing up, I can only imagine how issues are handled afterward. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. We walked out feeling ignored and disrespected and will be taking our membership elsewhere.

GoodLife Fitness Brewery District is a solid gym with a great layout and plenty of equipment. There’s a good mix of free weights, machines, and cardio so it works whether you’re lifting heavy or just getting a sweat in. Staff are friendly, the space is generally clean, and the location is super convenient. It can get busy at peak times, but overall it’s a dependable spot for consistent workouts

GoodLife Fitness Brewery District is a clean, spacious gym with plenty of cardio machines, weights, and fitness classes. The staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming. It can get busy during peak hours, but overall it’s a great place to work out thanks to how big and well-equipped it is.

It would be a good idea 💡 to warm up before you go there. And cool down after the session. We dove straight into the main activity. Not me farting through out the exercises... 😳🙈😶‍🌫️💨 Our leading lady was Leanne Van L 🏋️ They got us by saying " you can just come and watch".😀⌚😁😁😁 I found myself getting busy and sweating. 😅💦 It was so good to be there, amongst people of different ages and different strength. There was an elderly lady carrying a 5 kg plate 🙆 ( for one of the exercises) 💪. Chile ... I was carrying a 1.5 kg plate ( don't judge me ). Body roll was intense !
