I took my $1,200 dress to Fishman’s for dry cleaning, and they ruined it. When I dropped off the dress, they told me they weren’t sure if it could be dry cleaned. I specifically asked them not to proceed if they couldn’t handle it and to let me know instead. The next day, I went back to check, and they told me the dress was ready for pickup. When I saw it, the dress—especially the bow—was ruined I spoke with their manager, Joanne, who apologized and said they would either try to fix the dress or compensate me for it. She asked me to sent her the receipt which I couldn't find so I sent her link of the dress on website. The following day, they sent me a photo, claiming their tailor had worked on it all morning and that it looked “amazing” . However, it looked nothing like before. I told them it was unacceptable and asked for full compensation for the value of the dress. They said I would need to speak with the owner, Tasha Fishman. When Tasha called me the next day, she refused to take responsibility. She insisted the dress was “the same as before” and told me that once it was pressed, I would see that it looked fine. I went back to the store and was completely baffled that they thought this was the same as before. The value of a dress like this is in the details, and now it looks like something that’s been cheaply sewn back together, so I refused to pick it up and told them I would file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and leave a Google review so others wouldn’t have the same experience. I’ve been a Fishman’s customer for 7–8 years and have easily spent more than $1,200 with them over that time. To see how they treat loyal customers is extremely upsetting. I had only worn this dress once, and it was in perfect condition before they handled it. I am deeply disappointed in how Fishman’s takes care of their customers.

I brought my Canada Goose parka to Fisherman location on 17the avenue, one of their authorized dry cleaners, expecting professional service and care. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. After the first cleaning, the jacket came back with visible dirt still on it, including a piece of gum still stuck in the same spot. No apology was offered, but they did try a second cleaning. There is noticeable improvement after 2nd time, However, some visible marks remain, and I was informed that not much more could be done—it is what it is. What I found most frustrating was no apology was offered with unsatisfactory service. The absence accountability was disappointing. Follow up: I changed the rating star as following my complaint, I was contacted right away. The General Manager personally came to pick up the jacket, and Lacie from customer care team was responsive and professional. I was offered to have it cleaned third time. I appreciate the prompt attention and effort to address the issue.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this dry cleaner for the past three years, but after my recent experience, I’m incredibly disappointed. I had two of my expensive designer sweaters (worth $1000–$1300 each) altered, as I wasn’t happy with the baggy fit. The lady who measured me seemed to understand what I wanted, but when I went to pick them up, the fit was still not right. I expressed my concerns to the front desk, and the lady’s response was that there was nothing they could do about it. I was told they could try steaming and stretching the sweaters, but when I came back a week later, the results were the same. What really frustrated me was that not only did I still have to pay for the alterations, but I was never offered any form of apology or compensation for the poor service. The lack of customer care and accountability is astonishing. This place has gone from reliable to completely disappointing. I won’t be returning. Terrible service all around.
