The Diaz combat sports facility is next level! So many floors and options. With the most class options I have ever seen in a fight gym. Amazing coaches, who are passionate, friendly, and dedicated to the growth of their students. I love the welcoming feeling every time I walk in, the sauna, and now they even have yoga classes! I highly recommend this gym in Vancouver. Plus being in Chinatown is so much more convenient parking than downtown Vancouver! 5 stars!

DCS is a great place for kids to learn Jiu Jitsu and Kickboxing. The coaches are dedicated and experienced, and the head BJJ coach does an excellent job managing large classes while keeping the kids focused and engaged. The other kids’ coaches are friendly and supportive, and I’ve had no issues with their teaching. The lower-level gym space is nice, and the adult strength and conditioning classes are decent, though trainer consistency can vary and there could be more attention to posture and technique. The owner is friendly and works hard, and it’s a welcoming community and club for everyone attending.

LOOK NO FURTHER. Real-talk, fam…. DCS is extremely knowledgeable, welcoming and boast IMPRESSIVE state-of-the-art bespoke double-studios (as they have 2 directly across each other on the same street in the heart of Chinatown). The space is huge! Today was my FIRST ever visit to DCS and it did not disappoint… No referral/friend to accompany me. I went solo. Nicholas, one of their managers, graciously offered me 2 trials as I’ve been torn between pursuing Jiu Jitsu or Muy Thai. He didn’t pressure me into one or the other. He was PROMPT in answering my emails and helpful when I called in inquiring on their various classes/coaches (even listed out the pros/cons) and offered insights to tailor to my current boxing experience where I wouldn’t be bored or overly-challenged/trained safely without injury. Given that I recently took up boxing a few months ago and have been tirelessly on the hunt for a professional “home-gym” with real fighters who were not only skilled in their craft, but left the ego at home and took the time to properly educate their students with care. RYAN DIAZ, their founder/owner, was kind and approachable. He even personally came to check-in on me during sparring to ensure I was enjoying myself and had everything I needed (a BIG plus that not every MMA studio-owner cares to give the time & effort to do — let alone a retired MMA fighter as well-known as Ryan). This made a huge difference in my first impression of the studio, as he set a high standard for how newcomers are treated. Speaking of a standard to excellence, ANIKA, one of DCS’s front of house reps, was SUPER knowledgeable, friendly, and patient with my multitude of questions & concerns (esp. as a female). I didn’t expect to join DCS today, let alone sign on for a full yr membership. But when the class, community culture (students included) coaches, owner, and his team are all A1?? It’s hard not to see yourself being a part of a solid community like that longterm. Not to mention all the new merch I got. :) PS. They also have an on-site snack/juice-bar/cafe. DCS is legit the Costco of MMA (lol)!! The Women’s locker rooms (bring a padlock) are VERY CLEAN, showers/toilets are well-kept, and also has a 1-2 person sauna. As an East-Van kid myself? I’m very proud to be a part of this tribe.

I rook in a free boxing class. I'm old, with little skill and less talent. DCS had amazing coaches that were helpful, not judgemental or critical, just encouraging. It was a wonderful experience, so I signed up for a 6 month membership on the spot. The facilities were clean and equipment was modern.

Been doing boxing classes at DCS for about 1 and a half months. And I can say hands down this is the best boxing gym in Vancouver, especially if you’re looking to compete. The coaches are world-class, no-BS, and push you to be the best you can ACTUALLY be. Overall the people and culture here are why I keep coming back. It is very hard to find such incredible coaches and such a strong brotherhood anywhere else.🥊🥊💪
