Baan Thai Massage

This was my first Thai massage, so I wasn’t totally sure what to expect. It felt similar to a really good deep tissue massage, with a portion that combined massage with dynamic stretching. I wish I’d known about this when I was distance running! I saw Orathai (Pen) and she was amazing - she made me feel very comfortable, and she is SUPER strong. My back felt like one big knot before seeing her and now it feels better than ever.

I am a regular to this wonderful place. Following closely to traditional Thai practices, there is traditional and oil. You can have a shared room with a partner or friend, or you can have a room to yourself. The atmosphere is respectful and soothing. I suffer from frozen shoulder and Suthin (Susan) Seeger has given more relief and mobility than the cortisone shots prescribed by the doctor. She intuitively listens to my body. She also gives me ideas about n how to proactively handle my aches and pains. All the staff is cheerful, and my daughters are regulars as well. Maeghan, Bam, and Pen are great too! I am not familiar with the others. If you want a great deal on essential oils for your diffuser, they are very reasonably priced. We travel from our family farm all the way here for the experience and expertise. Located in the downtown core of Calgary, it brings traditional Thai feelings to the metropolis.
