Had a great experience at Avola Hair Salon! I got a haircut with the student Enrique and his mentor Leila, and I was really impressed. Enrique paid close attention to detail and made sure everything was just right, while Leila observed the whole time to ensure quality. The result was honestly better than many cuts I’ve had at much more expensive barbershops, and the affordable price makes this place an absolute gem. Highly recommend!

Avola College of Hairstyling and Esthetics falls far short of what a career college should be. The training lacks depth and real-world preparation, leaving students feeling unready rather than confident. Much of the time is spent waiting around instead of learning or practicing meaningful skills. Communication from administration is poor. Important information about policies, expectations, and evaluations is unclear or delivered at the last minute. When students ask for clarification, responses are often vague or unhelpful. The overall environment feels more focused on collecting tuition than investing in student outcomes. There is little individualized feedback, limited mentorship, and no clear pathway to success after graduation. For the cost and commitment required, this school does not deliver the quality education it promises. I would strongly advise prospective students to research other options before enrolling.

I’m Betty , I had my bad haircut from Avola school. Adriana was the one who cut my hair and ruined it as it wasn’t what I asked her and she was very rude plus she has an attitude for no reason. I returned again to get it fixed with color and haircut and I spoke to this gentle stylist Zamena who was supportive and encouraging. who gives the best shampoo and scalp massage. She went through my cut and fixed it, evened it out,Some of the best cuts, perms and streaks (highlights) I got from her. Remember, they are students, and the decor is not that of a high end salon. But she made me feel warmly welcomed and made me feel comfortable the entire time also gave me free treatment out of her own pocket and Avola has great price too! I recommend this school and ask for Zamena she’ll make your time worth.

I had a lovely experience with the team today! The student I worked with was so kind and clearly very passionate about her craft. Together with the instructor, they created a technically beautiful cut. The face-framing layers and the overall shape are exactly what I was looking for and look stunning. My heartbreak is that they ended up taking off a lot more length than I had anticipated. I’m growing my hair out for my wedding, so the 'length shock' is a setback for my goals. While the quality of the haircut is excellent and the style is very pretty, I’m feeling bittersweet about the loss of the length I worked hard to grow. Thank you for the care and the beautiful shape.

My name is Chrisann an aspiring Hairstylist/ Beautician and also a recent graduate from Avola College. My experience during the course of the year has been enriching. I am grateful to my instructors for their tenacity and dedication day after day. Naturally, I am a very introverted student which means I’m very shy when it comes to interacting with persons, being able to practice on clients hands on and seeing the smile on their face after each appointment tremendously boosted my confidence and helped prepare me for the journey ahead. Special thank you to the Director…wonderful soul, very professional and pleasant. Thank you to Ms Laila, Luisa, Lisa, Mr Luke and Tauney. You have all taught me well in your respective areas. To be more specific Ms Laila, I genuinely appreciate your support and patience as you taught face framing over and over again, because of that I can firmly say I am confident to do manage this on my own. Know that I will miss you very much! Thank you Luke for teaching me techniques when mixing colours and of course Ms Luisa thank you also for explaining angles, standing positions and overall etiquette. My heart is filled with gratitude as I transition towards the next level in my career. Have a high interest in the beauty industry? I highly recommend Avola College! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!!
