My experience at Yaletown Nails was so damaging that people deserve to be warned. Learn from my pain so you don’t have to go through the same. During my last set at Yaletown Nails, the nail tech filed my natural nails down so aggressively that it physically hurt. I actually stopped and asked her—more than once—if my nails were healthy enough for another set and whether the pain was normal. She repeatedly told me “yes,” insisting that everything was fine and that the pain was normal. I trusted her because I assumed a professional would stop if they saw they were compromising someone’s natural nails. I now regret that trust. Over the next couple of weeks, my nails felt thinner and weaker. When they finally started breaking and bending, I decided to remove the acrylics—but I did NOT return to Yaletown Nails. I went to a completely different salon, and thank goodness I did. The moment the other salon removed the acrylics, the truth became obvious: my nails had been over-filed to the point of being paper-thin. The tech at the new salon was shocked. She told me very clearly that I absolutely should not have been getting acrylics at all because my nails were already far too thin from the previous filing at Yaletown Nails. She explained that the pain I experienced earlier was a red flag that should never have been dismissed. Now I’m dealing with nails so fragile they bend when I press a button. They hurt when I type. Several tore down to painful layers. I’ve had to bandage multiple fingers just to function without further damage. A reputable nail salon should: • stop if a client is in pain, • warn the client when their natural nails are too compromised for another set, • and refuse to continue service if it risks causing injury. Yaletown Nails did none of the above. They dismissed my concerns, pushed forward anyway, and left me with damage that will take weeks to grow out. I will never return to Yaletown Nails, and I strongly encourage anyone considering this place to think twice. The photos of my nails say everything.

Yaletown Nail is truly the best! I’ve been getting my nails done with them consistently for almost a year now & every-time, I leave with a big smile on my face! They are so kind, caring, professional and accommodating it leaves me feeling deeply reassured and truly valued🤍 I recently had cracked my toe nail underneath the polish (100% MY FAULT) came in with this little nail emergency & right away 3-4 staff members looked at my nail right away, they did their magic & even had a band aid to put on 🥹They went above and beyond! They are SO kind, loving and always remember everything you tell them🤍 I highly recommend Yaletown Nail & it’s such a treat to go there! Thank you for being so wonderful Yaletown Nail! If I could give 100/10 I would! 🤍

I have been going to this salon for 3 years now and i am never disappointed! Their services are amazing always so friendly and helen is just a star⭐ she cares so much for her work and always makes sure her clients are satisfied every inspo picture i show her she always does it amazing! The ladies at reception too are always so friendly and April always makes sure everyone is happy.

Honestly I was so excited to do my nails But WHAT a let down. The technician did such a poor job that my nails had to be redone and during the appointment, I was told that I should just stick with basic colour…. Quite rude actually . Everything about the appointment was rush zero detail oriented, and zero consideration. My nails were left sharp and uneven. . I spoke to the manager, who was willing to give me a free manicure ( next time?), but I won’t be returning. Please go somewhere else Save your money and nails…

I have been going to Yaletown Nail Spa since I was very young with my mom and sister, and we have never left disappointed. The workers are kind, helpful and very talented. I specifically go to Iris, who always does a phenomenal job. She is nice and very patient, as I often ask for more complex nail art, and each set I get is better than the last. If I could recommend anyone to go to, it would be her. She is always precise and does a perfect job, even better than the photos I show her for inspo. Overall, I have never been to a better nail salon and would never think about going anywhere else. I highly recommend that everyone visit there. I will put photos of my favourite nails Iris has done for me as well, so you can see how good they are!
