READ THE FINE PRINTS!!! Rental fee for the shipping tank is $31 a day. I had issues with my local vet clinic and return took longer than expected. The total cost of shipping frozen semen from Alberta to Ontario was nearly $1000. Honestly, the most I deal with frozen, the less I think it's worth it. Edit: On July 3, I received an invoice that said: Total due: $390.60. I paid it on July 8, by e-transfer, assuming that they wanted me to pay them. Now on July 9, I realize that they already paid themselves on my credit card on July 4 and did not send me any receipt or confirmation of payment. Since they have auto-deposit, I'll now have to ask for a refund. I'm sure they'll be disappointed that I feel this frustrated... Edit 2: The refund was done very quickly.

We have been working with Westhills for almost 4 years for all of our rescue horses. The vets and staff take the time to get to know each new horse and their needs. They have accommodated many emergency cases and helped us rehabilitate dozens of horses who would’ve had a horrible outcome otherwise. In the cases, when we get horses that have no chance at a quality of life, Westhills has always been incredibly compassionate and helped us give these horses the most peaceful passing possible. We are so grateful for the relationship we’ve been able to establish with Westhills, and cannot thank them enough for the countless lives they’ve helped that come through our program.

We have been clients of this excellent compassionate Equine Clinic for several years now. All the vets, vet assistants as well as the frontline staff have provided the best care for our horses. Emily has been our main vet, & her expertise & knowledge has always diagnosed their health issues & provided excellent follow-up as well as emergency care. We appreciate all the team but especially Emily!

The team at Westhills is absolutely incredible - the appreciation I have for them, especially Dr. Emily, is hard to put into words. Extremely knowledgeable, compassionate; they have amazing communication at this clinic. They have always been very quick to get back to me, and truly want the best outcome for our animals. I recently decided to give my mare 6 months off before diving into more treatments for her but Dr. Emily was incredibly helpful with an action plan that we will see through when it’s time to bring her back to work. While the outcome was not what we wanted, we had an incredible experience with Dr Ashley. She was supportive, kind and so gentle with our sweet old man until his last breath. Every step was explained to us with care. I will absolutely be recommending this clinic to everyone. Truly remarkable.
