Horrible Invisalign provider! Wasted 1.5 years of my life on a treatment with Dr Cheng. It solved nothing and caused new TMJ issues. Dr Cheng could not understand that my teeth became angled because he was looking at the model in a software that automatically rotates dental arch to be horizontal. Basic 3d space understanding is needed for this job. Now I have teeth that look like they were blown away by the wind. My TMJ deteriorated because this so called TMJ specialist tried to force my jaw into a new position. They are luring people without disclosing real results of their work.

I called to reschedule my appointment because I woke up with a cold and felt it would be irresponsible to attend. On top of that, not being able to breathe through my nose would make a dental appointment extremely difficult. However, the receptionist advised me to still come in. When I explained that I couldn’t breathe through my nose, she told me she would cancel my appointment and NOT reschedule it because of my “tone.” I apologized, as I had no intention of being rude, but she continued to lecture me when I asked about my next scheduled appointment. This was my first appointment back after recovering from a life‑threatening illness, and I was genuinely looking forward to getting my dental care back on track. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will now be looking for a new dentist.

I was a patient of Dr. Cheng for over 10 years while he practiced in Toronto. Most recently we reconnected to discuss replacing my bridge. David is a phenomenal dentist who provides exceptional service. I highly recommend his practice.

I've been a lifelong patient of Dr. Cheng through my parents, who were patients at his old clinic in downtown Toronto before I was born. By chance, I have been able to continue seeing Dr. Cheng since moving to Vancouver for university, and now come in for Invisalign, TMJ issues, and regular cleaning. The clinic is clean, welcoming, and well-equipped. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Dr. Cheng has always been great at explaining my dental issues and is fair with treatment plans. I feel very lucky to continue being a patient of Dr. Cheng at his new clinic in Vancouver. I would definitely recommend Westcoast Smile Dental!

Most professionals will give you adequate care. I require particularly challenging dental care. Dr. Cheng has proposed a game-changing solution. In my first session, a five hour marathon, he worked well beyond the limits of any other of my previous dentists. I am extremely grateful. His staff are wonderful. Kudos to Dr. Cheng's superb assistant, Faisal, and the very charming and competent practice manager, Amali. G.W.
