The physicians I saw was professional, attentive, and provided good care. I have no concerns about the medical treatment itself. However, my experience with the clinic’s management and part of the administrative staff was disappointing. I attended an ICBC appointment after following the full street address displayed at the top of the reminder email (which included a map icon). Upon arrival, I was informed that the appointment was actually at a different location due to a system discrepancy. I was asked to wait while the issue was being reviewed and ended up waiting for approximately 1 hour before receiving a confirmation email acknowledging that the missed appointment resulted from a system error. And sadly, partial discount was only offered after multiple follow-ups. During the process, I did not receive a clear solution regarding the additional transportation expenses caused by the incorrect location information. In a later conversation, a front desk staff member named Kate stated that I had “crossed the line” and was rude the previous day. When I asked for clarification about what specific statement or behavior was inappropriate, I was told that “feelings are subjective,” and no concrete explanation was provided. As an ICBC patient recovering from a concussion, clarity, empathy, and structured communication are especially important. While the clinic eventually acknowledged the administrative error in writing, the way the situation was handled left me feeling unsupported. The medical care itself was good, but the administrative handling and communication could have been significantly better.

My last experience at Minoru location was with Shireen physiotherapist. She is knowledgeable, analytical and honest. Her assessment was thorough in every session and she taught me to be more aware of my body and do modifications accordingly. Thank you Shireen! I had ongoing tightness in my right neck and shoulder, and nothing seemed to help until I saw Jason. After just one 45-minute acupuncture session, the tension improved significantly and my sleep has been better since. Jason is professional, attentive, and explains his treatment clearly, which made my first acupuncture experience very comfortable. I barely felt the needles. Fluent in both Mandarin and English. Highly recommended.
