I have had the privilege of training Muay Thai boxing under Professor Dejan Kajic and coach Neso Kajic at Universal MMA for several years; conveniently located on Main St., North Vancouver. One of many aspects that make this facility number one, and perhaps the most notable, is the quality level of coaching. The programs are meticulously and seamlessly crafted for all age, skill levels, men and women. The children’s curriculum is fun and uniquely teaches discipline, respect, cooperation and self defense. The facilities training space is vast, well lit and clean with regular sanitation of the training areas. This gym has had a huge positive impact on my mental & physical health as well as business & personal life. I came in as a beginner a month ago to improve my fitness and found the staff and other members to be supportive and encouraging. The experience wasn't intimidating - classes are challenging but you feel safe. Aside from Dejan's excellent coaching, Universal MMA has an exceptional community that makes me look forward to classes even as a beginner.

I've trained in places in the UK, Thailand and Australia and this place tops them all. The coaches are so detail orientated and will take the time to work on every student. This creates such a positive learning environment and ensures that it isn't just the naturally talented that make it. It's a welcoming gym and is perfect for you whether you are a pro who wants to compete or a beginner who just wants to learn a new skill. The coaches always keep everyone safe and ensure that people are engaged in community and team spirit. There aren't many places that you can learn from a current champion for less than a yoga membership. I encourage you to sign up and join the family.
