I love this place! They truly take the best care of the animas in their care. Dr Waugh is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, gentle and kind. I have seen a handful of vets and Dr Waugh is hands down the very best. The staff are all excellent people who you can tell genuinely enjoy their jobs and the animas they care for. The front desk has immaculate communication and their teamwork is admirable. The prices are very reasonable, the space is very clean. I happily commute 3 hours to bring my pets here!

Best. Vet. Ever! The entire team at Tsawwassen Animal Hospital are top notch! I have been driving from the Burnaby/New West area out to this office since 2013 for my 2 cats. They are that amazing! Last year, when I had to have one of my 17 year old cats put down, Genevieve and Dr. Robertson were a godsend. Genevieve kindly took me through all of the information ahead of time, was always there to answer my questions and field my concerns. She was there for me through to bringing my cat in and comforting me. Dr. Robertson was just so unbelievably kind, empathetic and supportive (it was the first time I’d had to have a pet put down). She completely understood how I was feeling, and the whole process was as gentle, quiet and caring as I could have hoped for. All of the doctors there, including Drs. Gemeinhardt and Wall, over the years have been amazing. If you want the best vet in the Lower Mainland, this is definitely the office for you. My heartfelt thanks to you all for everything you do and have done for me!

I was just reading some glowing reports for this Vet and thought I'd share my experience. PLEASE, DON'T TAKE YOU PRECIOUS PETS THERE! In Dec. 2018, we took our dog in to get a leptospirosis vaccine. They took her into the back ostensibly to weigh her. She was there for a long time and when the girl brought her out she was in a complete state of panic, trying to get away from the girl. My wife rushed over to take the leash and still our dog was in a frenzy. My wife called her name several times before she snapped out of it. One of the staff directed us to an exam room and then Dr. Gemeinhardt (owner) came in with the vaccine. Our dog tried to climb on a chair to get away from her and my wife had to hold our dog so that Gemeinhardt could examine her. She did a cursory examination and gave her the shot. (Which turned out to be an overdose) Our dog was so sick afterward. She lifted the dog's lip for two seconds then turned her back to us and stated that our dog had dental disease and said, "February is our special dental care month." The thought that she had dental disease was puzzling, especially in view of the fact that just four months earlier a different vet said that her teeth and gums were in good shape. After we left, my wife noticed that our dog was frequently licking the left side of her mouth. On inspection we found that the left canine was pink from internal bleeding. This can only be caused by trauma to the tooth. Just recently (Aug 2021) we visited a vet who said that other than the damaged canine, her teeth are in great shape for her age. (8 yrs.) Keep doing what you are doing. She has a little calculus but no gingivitis . What exactly happened while our dog was in the back, we don't know. But, what we do know is that when we took her to Tsawwassen Animal Hospital she was fine. When she came out she had a damaged tooth, severe pain and a fright of Gemeinhardt that she never had before. We, as well as others, consider this animal abuse.

We've been taking our dog Stanley here for years and all of the front desk staff, technicians and doctors are dedicated and they clearly believe in the work they do for the community - we gladly trust them with the special needs of our old dog UPDATE: we said goodbye to Stanley today and called to have Dr Robertson and Danielle come to our house to euthanize him Both were professional and compassionate, patient and caring and helped make a very hurtful process a little better Thank you both for helping our Stanley get to a better place
