We were having an issue with our water pressure and contacted a few plumbers in the Port Moody area. Many had a minimum two-hour call-out fee which would have been over $200. We decided to go with this company as they were half the price and had good reviews The service was extremely professional from start to finish. They contacted me immediately, sent a text reminder for my appointment by, and arrived right on time. Jay was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He explained everything clearly and did an outstanding job. We couldn’t be happier with the service.

This plumber only replaced a filler valve for a toilet tank & charged $1,118 on a weekend call. And still was unable to address the bathroom leak. A filler valve costs $40 at home depot. Not quite sure what else he actually did as the service+weekend call out does not match the service price. If he has a star rating on google, its most likely from his friends and family. Do not trust his services or pricing. I would not recommend this plumbing service to your worst enemy as its over priced and lacks professionalism to get the job done.

***Reposted because my review mysteriously disappeared. *** We had some work done on our house by True Care Plumbing after we called TYs Plumbing and he referred us to this person. I am not one to usually post reviews but I hope this review can help save others from the stress, financial loss and headache both business have caused us. Similarly to some of the other one star reviews, we also got overcharged by the owner, PJ/Jay/Pratap. He quoted us in the hundreds and handed us a bill once the work was done in the thousands. We were charged $1500+ on materials, which we later found out cost a couple hundred dollars. As another review mentioned, we also had to drive to a wholesaler an hour away to source parts and he worked incredibly slowly assuring us he “only did good work”. When we started getting suspicious of his credentials, we asked him to provide his plumbing license which he refused to provide. The work ended up failing, bursting in the middle of the night and he ignored our calls despite assuring us earlier that his work was covered for one year. We had to hire another plumber to fix his work, who identified he forgot to include the sleeve. Considering this business has only been operational since Jan 4, 2025, as per the BC Business Registry (145 working days from today) it’s hard to believe that, at the pace PJ worked and his availability at a moments notice, he has completed over 106+ jobs to merit the 106 5-star reviews he has. In the day and age of AI and purchased reviews and the dishonesty we witnessed by this business and its owner, it is highly likely that these 5 star reviews are a mix of paid/fake reviews and those given by friends and family. EDIT (in response to True Care’s reply): Despite your efforts to discredit my review with further dishonesty and your attempt to highlight the 100+ reviews coming from questionable sources, I would like to clarify that my husbands name was on the bill which is why you may not have my name on record. That being said, as the owner of the house you did work on, I have full agency of reviewing the work you did on my property. We tried to go through the appropriate channels by calling you, to which you ignored our calls. It wasn’t until my husband used another number to contact you did you pick up and proceeded to make excuses, flat out refused to fix your failed work and proceeded to hang up on him. Hardly something that would classify as “taking all concerns seriously”. I can say with confidence that the issue was not resolved by you, and we had to hire another company to fix your work at our own expense.
