Absolutely amazing experience! This was genuinely the first time I felt truly heard by a hair stylist. Amy took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and delivered beyond my expectations. She’s incredibly talented, professional, and so kind you can tell she really cares about her clients. I left feeling confident and so happy with my hair. After 3 years of consistently box dying my hair black and being turned away by multiple hairstylists, Amy was willing to take on the challenge to turn me BLONDE. I went in expecting to walk out with brown hair, but in one session she was able to turn me to the exact color of blonde I asked for! She was very sweet and knowledgable and I felt comfortable the second I sat down. I will definitely return for both haircuts and coloring!

I have been seeing Amy at Toc Salon for my hair for years. She truly knows what she is doing and is extremely talented from haircuts to colour. You will leave the salon feeling beautiful :) Bonus is her personality, she is so funny and super honest. I highly recommend her.

Lovely experience. I went this weekend to get my hair colored and I absolutely loved the experience. The service was very warm and welcoming from the beginning. I want to especially thank Emy, who took such great care of me with kindness, patience, and professionalism. She really listened to what I wanted, gave me great advice, and the result was exactly what I hoped for. I felt comfortable and well taken care of. One of the most unprofessional experiences I’ve ever had I went to Amy Toc for hair colour and showed her a clear picture of the lighter, noticeable highlights I wanted. I paid $450 for the service, and the result was nothing like what I asked for. Instead of highlights, my hair just looked like a slightly lighter brown version of my dark black hair, you could barely even notice a difference. Before starting, I told her that my hair had been professionally dyed before to match my natural black tone. Later, she acted like I never told her and blamed “box black dye,” which wasn’t true at all. If that was actually an issue, she should’ve told me upfront before touching my hair. After she finished, she took photos under bright lighting and tried to say the colour matched the reference, but in natural light it was clear it didn’t. The next day, I also realized my roots and greys weren’t properly covered. When I reached out politely to see if anything could be fixed, she was rude, defensive, and completely dismissive. She literally told me I was “lucky it turned out the way it did” and that I “didn’t know how it should look because I have never coloured my hair before.” What made everything worse is that after multiple conversations, she still took zero responsibility. She didn’t try to help at all or make an effort to give any solution to make my hair look even somewhat closer to what I asked for, and actually told me I’d have to pay for another service if I wanted my hair to look like what I originally asked for, even though the first service wasn’t done right. The whole situation felt unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly just disappointing. It wasn’t even about the colour anymore — it was about how poorly she handled everything afterward. For $450, the least I expected was honesty, accountability, and basic respect. Instead, I left feeling dismissed and frustrated. I wouldn’t recommend Amy Toc to anyone.
