After MUCH research for a curly hair specialist in the Nanaimo/Lantzville area I booked an appointment with Milly at Thrive. This is the first real and *proper* curly haircut I have ever received, and I'm 42. I've never really loved my curls but now I realize it's because I didn't have the right cut and styling. Milly not only gave me a wonderful cut but thoroughly explained to me everything from the cut process to proper styling, drying and care. I can honestly say this is the first time I've left the salon loving my curls and I am very excited to wear my hair curly more often. I cannot recommend Milly enough along with the entire staff at Thrive. They were all super personable and kind. Milly was a pleasure to speak with. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I had the pleasure of getting a haircut with Mary Archibald. She listened and was very attentive to every little detail I mentioned. My cut was perfect. Oh and the head massage she gave me when conditioning my hair.... Blissful! The ambiance in the salon is also calm and relaxing. I highly recommend this salon.

I can’t say enough good things about Thrive Eco Salon! 🌿 Milly completely changed my relationship with my hair — She taught me how to truly embrace my curly/wavy texture. I left with an amazing haircut and with a new curly girl confidence. I took my 6-year-old daughter to see Mercedes, and she was wonderful with her! She was incredibly patient, chatty, and sweet — even with a few wiggles, she managed to give my daughter the most gorgeous cut. From the moment you walk in to the salon you’re greeted with a smile, and the whole space just feels warm and welcoming. Thrive is truly a special place, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. 💛✂️

I’ve had my hair cut by Mercedes a few times now and each time she has totally exceeded expectations! Everyone in the salon is so friendly and they have an incredible atmosphere. I absolutely LOVE my hair!!
