My experience exceeded my expectations. The lady who greeted me at the door was very kind and welcoming. I was a walk-in wanting a haircut with a new style. Sher was wonderful. She worked with me to figure out exactly what I wanted and gave me something even better than I had in mind! Truly talented. Thank you so much!

I had a really great experience with Elly. She truly understood my hair type and gave me a very thoughtful Deva cut. Even though the length feels a little shorter than I’m used to, the overall quality and health of my hair has noticeably improved. My curls feel lighter, more defined, and easier to manage. I really appreciated how attentive and knowledgeable she was throughout the appointment. I’ll definitely be coming back to Elly for my future cuts.

Extremely disappointed in the service that I received for multiple reasons: I chose a stylist with over 40 years of experience (Judy) hoping that I would get the result I desired and unfortunately it was a disaster. I came into the salon to the same person who last did my highlights hoping to be a more natural brunette and left with black ends, a lighter colour on my roots and mid shaft with green and blue tones throughout (pic #2). The haircut was uneven in the front, and the stylist could not and did not do a blow out as I had asked for during the appointment. I went to a salon with the expectation that my hair would look professionally done, but left looking like I box-dyed it and cut it at home (if not worse than that). I let the salon know I was unhappy with the cut and colour and they asked me to come back to the View Street location to fix it. The stylist I saw there confirmed that mistakes had been made, there were green and blue tones in the hair and then offered to try and lift the level 4 (very dark brown/black colour) out of my hair. This resulted in my hair being orange-brown, and no where close to my inspiration photos. This stylist also confirmed that my original desired hair (pic #4) result WAS attainable based on what I had come in with (blonde hair - pic #1) but now that this dark dye had been put on it, I would not be able to achieve this until about 6-12 months later which was extremely disappointing considering this service cost over $350 and the highlights I had got done before with Judy cost over $450. The stylist at the view street location tried to tone and fix the haircut, but ultimately, too much damage had been done and now my hair is much darker than my natural colour, all of the highlights I previously got done are unnoticeable/covered with dark dye, and my hair is overall a very unnaturally looking orange/brown colour (looks like faded out brown box dye - pic #3). The salon leader spoke to me after my last “fixing appointment” and told me “sometimes hair is just unpredictable” and took very little responsibility for the issue. I didn’t expect this kind of service, and especially since I had done a consultation, a colour correction service, and a full head of highlights with Judy, I had expected to achieve something at least close to what I had asked for based on her having this knowledge of my hair history, experience with working on it, and her own experience with hair in general, and now I’m stuck with hair that I have zero confidence in for at least 6-12 months. I would be super careful with who you book with, because this is not a result I would have expected to receive at a salon anywhere.
