We’ve been coming to this academy for about a month now and my son is really enjoying it. He loves the atmosphere, the attention to detail, the instructions. He’s learnt more here in one month than he has at another dojo in town. They are all very friendly here and happy to help.

This dojo is a fantastic place to learn and grow in jiu-jitsu. The instructors are knowledgeable, patient, and truly care about helping both adults and kids improve. The environment is supportive, respectful, and motivating. Since joining, I’ve had nothing but great experiences. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, this is a place where you can challenge yourself, build confidence, and be part of a strong community. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing so far. My son comes out of the building with a smile on his face everytime. When he gets home he can't wait to tell everyone in the house what he has learned that day. Honestly best decision I have made for him, it's rewarding to see my son happy to be apart of something he loves ❤️

We started in August at Komodo Academy looking for something to do together and learn. However, Komodo has been more than just a place of learning but has become our community, family, and light throughout the week. If you’re think of trying and joining please do, there are absolutely amazing people, instructors, training programs and environment. Every person I have met has really brought me to the sport of Jujitsu and it’s become the community I didn’t have in Grande Prairie that I desperately needed. I cannot thank Steph, Debbie and every instructor and student of the Academy. It’s been an absolutely wonderful journey and that will help you grow in sport and personally.

The Komodo Academy is hands down one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gyms around! The atmosphere is welcoming, supportive, and truly family-friendly. From kids' classes to adult training, there's something here for everyone — no matter your age or fitness level. I’ve lost 70 pounds since I started training at Komodo, and beyond the physical transformation, I’ve found a sport I absolutely love and now share with my family and friends. The coaches and professors are knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely care about your progress. If you're in Grande Prairie and looking for a life-changing experience, this is the place to be. Highly recommend checking it out!
