The Home Court *Advantage* If I had the option, I would give this facility six stars. ****** Why? Because it looks and feels like a six‑star experience. This place is a true hidden gem in the heart of Richmond. Thank you, Nana, for the warm tour and for walking me through all the available options. The facility is brand new, and everything is in immaculate condition. I was surprised it wasn’t much busier in the morning. The lighting is perfect, the change rooms and amenities resemble those of a high‑end hotel, and the layout is excellent. There are two "full‑size" basketball courts— apparently quite rare—and an additional four multi‑use pickleball/badminton courts in a separate area. Upstairs, you’ll find a full gym equipped with modern, late‑model weight‑training machines. I’m excited to come back and try the pickleball courts soon, and I may share an update after my first session. Five+ Stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My son attended the winter camp this past season. We were informed there would be two coaches due to the larger group size; however, this was not consistently the case. One of the main coaches frequently arrived late and had two no-show days, which felt unprofessional. It also seemed that he lacked the skills or experience needed to effectively work with younger children, despite the camp being advertised for that age group. Additionally, there appeared to be a strong focus on more advanced players, while younger or beginner-level children spent a significant amount of time on the bench. On one occasion, children who were subbing sat out for 30 minutes of a 1.5-hour session. Throughout the two weeks, we provided ongoing feedback but saw little improvement or adjustment from the team. Overall, this experience did not meet our expectations, and I would not recommend this camp.

I would give zero stars if that were an option. While the facility itself is nice and well equipped, it is very poorly managed—especially the Y 7–10 program. Instructors arrived late almost every day, used inappropriate language toward the children, and showed a general lack of organization. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I would strongly advise parents not to enrol their children in the Y 7–10 basketball program.

This is a review for the basketball camp I enrolled my 7-year-old this past winter and had a very disappointing experience. Almost every day, the instructor arrived late, even though the children were already waiting. He even pulled a no-show twice and the staff scrambled for employees that could assist. The classes lacked structure and organization, and there was little effort to engage all the kids. What concerned me most was the language used. The coach would say things like “shut up” to the children. Even if meant jokingly, this is completely inappropriate for young kids. There was also obvious favoritism toward children who were already good at basketball. Kids who struggled were often put on the sidelines as “subs” and were only included when parents were visibly watching. The overall ability to teach, encourage, and build confidence in young children was very poor. By the end of the two weeks, my child—who was initially excited—didn’t even like basketball anymore. I would strongly advise parents not to sign up young children for programs at this facility. It is not a kid-friendly or supportive environment.

I visited The Home Court today and was seriously impressed. Everything about this basketball gym is top-tier — from the modern, well-lit design to the top-notch equipment. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, and the entire facility was immaculately clean. It’s clear they take pride in creating an amazing environment for athletes. Highly recommend!

Brand new indoor sport centre with 2 full basketball courts, 4 badminton/pickleball courts, yoga studio and gym. Plenty of parking and close to Aberdeen skytrain station.
