So I've been seeing Dean for my haircuts for well over a decade... but I ALSO travel a lot, and have had to see a ton of other stylists when I'm out of town. I have visited some of the most "fancy" salons in a few major cities, I've paid some outrageous prices... and I can say, with total confidence... that Dean is IT- he's world-class, and among the very, very best. :) I wouldn't trust anyone else the same way. I'm so lucky he's right here, in Edmonton-!! Dean is PARTICULARLY skilled with tricky hair textures (like my newly-curly and graying hair), anything to do with layers, and cuts that frame the face in the most flattering way possible- an amazing choice for a big change, or if yr not sure what to do w yr hair-! I don't colour currently, but I've seen Dean crack out some truly remarkable colour work as well- he's a blonding GOD. ;) I would confidently recommend him for cuts AND color, including corrective color (and I've referred friends, family, and my own clients, who have all been delighted w their results). If Dean was a massive jerk, I'd probably see him for my cuts anyhow (cuz he's THAT good)... but, lucky for me, that's not the case. ;) Dean is THE BEST, truly- he's one of those special humans who instantly puts anyone at ease, and he's so easy to talk to. :) I feel so relaxed and safe in his presence, he takes such good care of me and each of his clients, and I always feel somehow lifted and lighter after each appointment- thank u Dean, seriously. :) The salon is a welcoming, comfortable shabby-chic space flooded with natural light, in a convenient Whyte-ave location, and the entire team reflects Deans values and approach- GREAT HAIR first and foremost, high standards all around, and always good vibes. :) I'd guess u can't go wrong! Did I mention they have a killer lineup of hair product available, and a bunch of cute, local beauty items and accessories to browse-? Just do it. Ok??! Call them, make the appointment- u won't be sorry. ;)

Been coming here for about 10 years. Seen multiple stylists and they’re all lovely. Dean is my current stylist and gives such a lovely haircut. I love the decor and atmosphere here is it so cozy and what has kept me loyal to the location even when stylists come and go.

I’ve been going to The Beauty Parlour forever and honestly wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else. Des is an absolute master of her craft — I have super thick, curly hair and she’s the only person who can blow dry and style it with total ease. Medi does my colour and somehow stays completely calm while nailing the perfect blonde every single time (which is no small feat with my hair 😅). The entire team is incredible — welcoming, talented, and genuinely lovely — and I always leave feeling like a million bucks. Could not recommend more 💛

A sneaky hidden salon with lovely staff. Being up on the second floor it’s easy to pass them by, but DON’T!! I see Brooke and she is incredibly friendly and talented. I am very particular about my blonde and she absolutely understood the assignment on my full head highlights/lived in look. She also took time to explain options going forward for maintenance. Salon vibes are comfy and the complimentary lattes are great too 🫶 Great spot!

I had the absolute best experience with Medi at The Beauty Parlour! I came in with long hair that had old colour and dead ends, and she completely transformed it. She took her time looking through my inspo photos and was confident the entire way through, which gave me confidence in making such a drastic change. She gave me the perfect bangs, not only exactly like the pictures but also tailored to my face and hair type. Throughout the appointment she shared styling tips and haircare recommendations, which I really appreciated. She also let me know that if I needed an adjustment within two weeks, I could come back at no charge. I ended up going back for a tiny trim on the bangs, and once again, she nailed it. The whole experience was amazing. From the woman at the front desk offering me a coffee to the moment I walked out the door, I felt welcomed and genuinely pampered. The Beauty Parlour is such a refreshing change from the traditional stuck up salon vibe. It was warm, friendly, clean, & so aesthetic! I cannot wait to make Medi my go to stylist. Absolutely 10/10!
