I brought my dog to Tamarack Vet Clinic after my regular vet insinuated they weren't super comfortable with a mature spay (fixing an a female dog who's already been through multiple heats). We did a little meet n greet, a pre-surgery consult, the surgery itself, and the post-surgery medication and check-up. Prices were very reasonable, staff were kind and accommodated appointments really well, and my dog recovered from her surgery smoothly and with very little scarring. Huge thanks to Dr. Emma Buchanan and staff - I would recommend you to a friend!

I’m not one to write a review but I am leaving this clinic with great disappointment. I’m keeping this as professional as possible because as much as Dr. Suzanne is the reasoning to us parting, I truly wish and hope they change their ways so no one else has to experience what I myself and many others have had to experienced here. First and foremost I’d like to thank Dr. Emma for her further explanation and humane communication regarding the next steps for my pet as her condition isn’t at the healthiest, my chubby fur daughter, I agree with receiving results towards her blood and internal structure/functions— but I will not be doing it with this clinic. Barely examining a pet and quickly coming to the conclusion of it being “unstable/suffering”, absolutely no words. To top that off, without proper communication, explanation/reasoning and throwing an ultimatum of “paying thousands of dollars or euthanize the pet” AND THEN seeing the vulnerability of the owner and threatening to call animal control is disgustingly inhumane and unprofessional. Then the following spam calls back to back, when everyone’s got a life going on and can’t answer asap, but would call back when times needed. All threatening, abusive and harassing actions. There are multiple stories past patients/clients have shared and expressed greatly on that are all so very similar. Covering the place with 5 stars in a following pattern is a bit suspicious. Any explanation that the “clinic” has made towards all these actions, they continuously try shifting themselves as the victim. They try to expose information from the patients to claim their actions were necessary, so don’t try responding to this review in the same way. I am not over exaggerating with my choice of words, as the actions shown truly were verbally abusive and threatening. I do mean it when I say that I hope the ways the Dr’s there treat their patients change, I hope nothing but the best for them— just not with my pet as the patient. She goes on jogs with me, very playful and joyful, been going hiking since I got her from her past owners. She fears vets and pet stores but won’t hesitate to go on adventures together. She may not be at 100% but she’s not suffering nor unstable. She loves giving attitude but instantly fold at the slightest attention directed her way. She is in no position of needing to be put down. I love and care for her so much, I will do anything necessary for her wellbeing, but I am never coming back to this clinic, because I believe my fur baby deserves better care.

I’ve had nothing but great service from Doctor Buchanan and the staff for my little man. I would recommend them to anyone. The service is excellent and very friendly. Having excellent service from my vet of 20 years in Ontario I am very impressed with the service that I’m getting here an was able to find the same excellent service Thank you so much for everything use all do an great service. I was sceptical when I moved here to be able to find a veterinarian office as good as I use to have an was very lucky to find this one at the Tamarack veterinary clinic

Thank you to Dr. Buchanan and the rest of the Tamarack Team for making our visit so pleasant! I’ve never had such an easy experience at a clinic, just wow. The team here is seriously phenomenal. They take the physical and mental well being of your pet into account and work with what the pet is comfortable with. They even sent us home with a new bandana. I can’t thank you enough! - Piper ❤️

I wanted to thank the Tamarack Veterinary Clinic staffs for an outstanding service and professionalism. It was our first visit with our dog, the atmosphere was nice and welcoming, there is a sense of family feeling where they consider your pet as if it's their own, and they even followed up the next day to see if our pet was alright. But what is more impressive is their prices are very reasonable. You have a pet, you want the best for them this is the place to take them. Thank you
