I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic regarding my privacy and customer service. When I questioned why certain personal information was required, the receptionist, Gurvinder, became incredibly disrespectful. Instead of professionally explaining the clinic's policy, she responded with an unprofessional attitude and was dismissive of my concerns.
Customer service should be a priority, especially when dealing with sensitive health information. I hope management takes steps to train their front-end staff on how to communicate with patients respectfully.
A medical clinic should be a place where questions are welcomed, not met with an attitude. Better staff training is definitely needed here.

I’ve been extremely impressed with the level of care at this dental office. The dentist is very knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. They took the time to explain each step of the treatment and made sure I was comfortable throughout the process. The staff is friendly, the clinic is clean, and the service is outstanding. Highly recommended.

I had my first appointment at Sullivan Heights Dental, and shared with them my fear of going to the dentist.
The team was so welcoming and gave me a tour of their clinic and took the time to explain each step they were doing.
I would highly recommend this dental clinic to those living in Surrey.

This was my first negative experience with a dentist, and it’s disappointing because I used to like going to Sullivan Dental. I started going there last year with Dr. Purba, who was warm, kind, and genuinely took the time to listen and make you feel comfortable. Since she’s left and I’ve had to see Dr. Bajwa, things have really gone downhill.
Both my husband and I found him dismissive and rushed — barely making eye contact, giving minimal explanations, and giving off the feeling that he just wanted to get through patients as quickly as possible.
I tried to look past that until my most recent visit to fix two cavities. During intake, the hygienist asked if I breastfeed, and I said yes, exclusively. She moved on, so I circled back myself to ask if there was anything I should know. Only then did she mention I’d need to “pump and dump” after the appointment because of the numbing agent (lidocaine). Since I exclusively breastfeed, that wasn’t possible for me, so she brought in Dr. Bajwa to discuss further.
From the moment he walked in, his demeanor felt irritated and dismissive. He repeated the same line — that the numbing agent is “safe but the recommendation is to pump and dump” — without any effort to explain, reassure, or empathize. When I asked what I could do in the meantime to prevent the cavities from worsening, his response was a passive-aggressive, “You just need to have good oral hygiene,” as if that weren’t already obvious. It felt condescending and unhelpful.
Perhaps he could have suggested that I time the appointment better with my babies feeding schedule. Something I would have done myself had I been informed prior to the appointment. Instead he just robotically kept repeating the same thing, offering no alternative solution or workaround.
After he left, though, the dental hygienist took the time to talk with me, offer practical tips, and helped me feel supported.
Still, what frustrates me most is that I had mentioned I was breastfeeding at my cleaning the week before, yet no one thought to tell me about this recommendation until the day of — and only because I asked. My time was wasted, and I left feeling dismissed and uncomfortable for simply wanting to make an informed choice for my baby.
While lidocaine may be considered generally safe, I chose to listen to my gut, and I shouldn’t have been met with annoyance for doing so. Reading other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who’s found Dr. Bajwa dismissive. Interpersonal skills and empathy matter deeply in this profession, and sadly, that’s where my experience with him fell short. As a result, he has lost me as a patient and three of my family members.

It's our 5th year patronizing this dental clinic and service and customer care are always the best. They still treat me and my family like a new client and they make us feel welcome every time. As soon as you enter the door, they greet you with a smile. From booking an appointment to the actual service they make you feel special and well taken care of. I highly recommend them to be your family dentist because they are second to none among countless dental clinics that I had been with when it comes to dental care. Kudos to Dr. Bajwa and his team. Keep it up. Come try them out.
