The first set of nails were okay but it didn’t look like the reference picture. My nail tech didn’t really ask me any questions or opinions and I was a bit shy, she seemed like she was in a hurry. Fiona, however was able to redo my nails and provide me with the colour I was aiming for and she was so helpful throughout it all!!

Absolutely amazing experience—especially for my first time at Starlight! From the moment I walked in, I was warmly greeted, which immediately made me feel comfortable. Fiona did my gel nails and was incredibly patient, kind, and thorough. She walked me through each step of the process, answered all of my questions, and adjusted the length and shape until I was completely happy. She truly took her time and never made me feel rushed. I arrived about an hour and a half before closing, and despite that, the team stayed late to make sure my nails were done perfectly. That level of care and dedication really stood out to me. Thank you so much, Fiona! I’m absolutely in love with how my nails turned out and will 100% be returning.

Just went in asking for a French manicure but she was struggling with it so I told her not to worry about it and to just do a full color and not anything fancy. It took her 2 hours to paint MY Own nails and charged me 68 dollars even though I told her I wasn’t happy with the work. Nails were left very thick and deformed/clumpy looking. It seemed like she wasn’t experienced. I definitely won’t be returning.

READ WHOLE REVIEW: EDIT AT THE BOTTOM. This salon was my go to nail salon for years. I stopped getting my nails done for a while and decided to treat myself. I got my nails done on Sunday, they were gorgeous; perfectly shaped and the lady executed my design flawlessly. 3 days later one nail extension broke off. No problem, must’ve just been a fault line in the plastic, my natural nail didn’t break at all. I go in to get it fixed and the original technician wasn’t working. The lady that fixed my nail didn’t take off all the acrylic before restarting, her monomer solution jar was caked in product to the point that the lid would not come off (she had to use nail clippers to pry it open), used dirty nail files, she had me UV cure the acrylic; I’m not sure why as acrylic is air drying, and left me with a severe lumpy nail I had to file at home (I had a matte colour so the polish wasn’t ruined). They didn’t charge me to fix it but I would rather pay a bit to have it done well. There is some really awesome talent working at this salon, I’ve had several really excellent technicians, just unlucky this time. Edit to add: I thought all my other nails were fine but boy was I wrong. Not even 2 weeks after my initial appointment and there is a bubble of liquid underneath my thumb nail; it was not the one I had “fixed”. Never in my 12 years (on and off) have I had a liquid bubble in my nails. This is an extremely dangerous practice as trapped liquid causes fungal infections. I’m quite honestly appalled as I also paid $110 for this set. I’m not sure what happened to the quality of this salon but beware.
