I’ve been a client of the salon for the past year and have come in regularly. I’ve been satisfied with the service up until Recently. This is the third time that I have come in and have had to wait over 30 minutes for my scheduled appointment. The quality of work is normally good but sometimes is not consistent, which I’ve ignored up to now as I’ve been a loyal customer for so long. I left today, disappointed after 30 minutes + of waiting and will not be returning. If you’re looking for convenience, this is not the place.

Save your time and go to a different nail salon, I called at about 630 maybe closer to 7 o’clock last night and asked if they were available to do a pedicure. They close at 8:00 PM and I only needed a pedicure. They told me to come in, So I did. The person doing my nails was a male who Smelled of marijuana, And I am a marijuana smoker myself so I very well know that he was high. Not only did he do a terrible job, it looks like a 5yo painted my nails, but he rushed it didn’t do anything I asked. He didn’t understand a word I said, and I was asking very clear questions he kept saying ‘huh’ ‘hmm’ ‘what’ Literally everything I asked for even the colour he had no idea what I was talking about probably because he was high. then proceeded to charge me $70, $10 extra for French, I’m sorry where do you see french on my toes? a little line of white that he rushed… my 5yo couldve done that…. this was all especially frustrating because I’ve been going here and I was recommended to see Hannah so I know her, And she didn’t even say anything or help me out at all. Literally don’t go here!!

I went to get my nails done with Anna, and she was amazing! 💅 She’s super nice, patient, and made sure everything looked perfect. I really loved how my nails turned out — definitely coming back! Highly recommend her if you want beautiful nails and great service!

Just visited this salon and it’s hands down the best I’ve been to in a long time! Hannah did my nails and absolutely nailed it, she took her time, made sure I was happy every step of the way, and the final result was amazing. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend this place, 10/10 experience!

Date of Visit: July 5 & July 31, 2025 I am not usually one to leave reviews, but after two very disappointing experiences at Simcoe Nails within the month of July, I feel that I must share my experience and warn others — especially if you are looking for a quality bio gel manicure. Unfortunately, this salon continues to under-deliver. On July 5, I got a bio gel manicure on my natural nails and paid $69.40. Initially, I left happy, but by the end of day two, my nails started peeling off. I returned to the salon on next business day and they repaired them, though very superficially. I was about to leave for vacation and hoped that the issue was resolved. Unfortunately, just two days into my trip, two of the same that was repaired peeled off again, along with a third. Completely unacceptable. When I came back from vacation, I returned to the salon to explain the situation, suggesting there may be issues with the material, curing, or possibly the gel being applied too thin. They fixed the three nails, but the color didn’t match the rest. I accepted it just to have my nails intact. Then on July 31, I returned once again for a refill and fresh manicure, paying $64.98. In just four days (by August 3), two of my nails peeled off again. Reluctantly, I returned though it was extremely frustrating to have to keep going back. I went back on Tuesday after the long weekend. Here’s where it gets worse: the young man who originally did my nails he was the one who repaired my nails. He filed off the remaining bio gel, and instead of reapplying bio gel as I had originally paid for, he simply used gel polish and a top coat directly on my natural nail. Not surprisingly, my nail broke off the very next day, as there was no bio gel protection. This is completely unprofessional, and honestly feels like a scam. If you are paying close to $70, your nails should not be peeling off within days and definitely not repeatedly. The fact that they would replace bio gel with just polish and expect the customer not to notice is even more disappointing. Save your money and your time. If you're considering getting bio gel nails, do not go to Simcoe Nails in Barrie. You’re better off finding a salon that uses proper products, applies them correctly, and stands behind their work. This place is clearly not it.
