I truly can't say enough great things about Scottsdale Veterinary Hospital. I have an "old" guy, 13 1/2 and don't think he would be around if it wasn't for Dr. Weinsink and her staff. They are top notch. From start to finish, every experience we've had at Scottsdale has been great. They seem to be a big family with their staff too. I met someone who worked there for 19 years and she had nothing but wonderful memories. A business that cares about their clients, their owners, and staff is rare. They have my business for life!

The Vets and staff at Scottsdale have always been caring and compassionate with our dogs. We have had our 3 dogs looked after for many complex conditions, so I have seen the vets, vet techs and receptionists go the extra mile to care for their patients. We are very grateful for the care they have provided over the years.

Each time we take our dog to Scottsdale veterinary clinic we are welcomed by friendly and knowledgeable staff and we receive great medical attention. There was one time that my dog had an allergic reaction to something in the house. The vet gave her a shot and the allergy quickly went away. Thanks to their good medical advice and speedy assistance. It’s a professional practice that I highly recommend.

If I could give this place 500 negative stars I would. I never imagined that after over 6 years of loyalty with all three of our dogs, Scottsdale Vet would abandon us when we needed them the most. Our dog recently injured her knee and was in severe pain. We booked the earliest appointment available (Monday) and picked up fear-free medication from the clinic on Saturday in preparation. By Sunday, her condition became so serious she couldn’t walk, and we had no choice but to rush her to an emergency hospital. In the panic, stress, and exhaustion of dealing with an injured dog and emergency care, we accidentally forgot to cancel our Monday appointment. ONE missed appointment in SIX YEARS. When we later called because our dog required surgery follow-up care and fear-free medication, the response we received was shocking. The staff member was rude, dismissive, and told us they would not book another appointment or provide medication because we missed that single appointment. No understanding. No compassion. No acknowledgment of our long history as clients. Instead, they left us stranded during one of the most stressful moments a pet owner can go through — scrambling to find a new veterinarian while our dog was recovering from surgery. To make matters worse, they refused to send information about the fear-free medication previously prescribed to another vet, claiming they were not obligated because they are not a pharmacy. This felt incredibly unethical and completely lacking in care for the animal’s wellbeing. This clinic showed us that loyalty means nothing to them. As long as everything benefits them, you’re a valued client — but the moment you need understanding or flexibility, they turn their backs on you without hesitation. The staff was rude, unprofessional, and shockingly unsympathetic. After this experience, I would strongly caution anyone considering this clinic: do not assume they will support you when your pet truly needs care.

I almost always see two of the doctors there and they are great. There are often wait times but I can’t really complain because I caused one once with a cat that didn’t want to attend his appointment and then on another occasion when he was an emergency patient and was taken in as soon as we arrived. They are a bit pricey but not the most expensive. They have taken away some of the cost savings which were a nice break on a limited pension. I have always recommended them and will continue to do so because they care and go above and beyond. I have been going there for 39 years!!
