I called them with a dental emergency and instead of being sympathetic or helping, the person who answered the phone decided to lecture me. She decided by herself that I apparently was too poor for them to help and wanted to go into great detail how expensive they were. I attempted to tel her how I didn’t think it was safe for me to drive far, but she was far too interested in talking me out of getting help from them. Why she thought she knew my financial situation I have no idea as I never mentioned money once, I was a little preoccupied being in excruciating agony! As a side note, I have insurance and plenty of money, but to her I might as well have been homeless. I ended up hanging up and driving all the way to Regina in pain so bad I could barely see. Then having to drive back.

I hate to leave a bad review, but i do so because things like sanitation and humane interaction matter to me, and it as either this or filing a more official report to local dental authorities, which i might yet do. my main concern: My dentist did not numb prior to using the needle, twice, causing 5-10 seconds of the most severe pain ive felt in years. When i called him out he claimed that for the roof of the mouth it wouldnt have worked- yet the first time it was done on the side, so that reasoning does not hold. Also when consulting other dentists online, it appears this claim simply is not true. This incident is why this is one star, not 2, even though other staff was kind and more professional. it was also the case that he seemingly did not switch gloves between patients, which was concerning. He worked on me, left the room to work on someone else, then came back with the same gloves on, now smelling of burnt tooth from the grinding done on the other patient. additionally, equipment like headlamps and the sink by the chairs were not cleaned even with months between visits. i noticed the exact same splatter pattern on them, months apart, the only difference being the addition of more splatter. as i type this my upper cheek aches, as when he put in one of the needles without the numbing gel, he pierced a nerve directly. i am waiting to see weather or not the pain is due to that, or if it was due to an infection caused by the unsanitary conditions/actions. all in all a frustrating and stressful experience.

The staff team members and doctors are so very friendly, warm, accepting ,accommodating and just plain great. And the exam chairs are the most comfortable chairs I've ever sat in.I'd like to have one for my house if I could.

Wonderful experience at this dental clinic, right from start to finish. Like most people the Dentist is not my favorite place, but Scotsburn Dental is the exception! I have and will continue to recommend to my friends and family.
