I had a vibration under acceleration and figured I needed a couple of u joints. I called in the afternoon and they told me to bring it the next day and they will fit it when they get a chance. They called me a couple hours after I dropped it off and said it was ready. They said the one u joint was toast but the other was fine. When I showed up to pay they showed me the bad one and explained that the front one was still good to go. They could of swapped both but they are honest guys and only did the work that was needed. I appreciate how quick they got it fixed up. Good guys and good prices. Thank you again.

I was moving to the lower 48 from Alaska and had a transmission issue in my truck. The guys at Rencar went above and beyond getting me back on the road and did it at very reasonable price. One of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a mechanic shop and would highly reccomend Rencar to anyone. Great mechanics and great people.

Do Not take your transmission here! Check out Llyodminister rant and raves page on facebook and look what others have to say about rencar! Many have been screwed over by this buisness!!! I took my transmission here for a rebuild in the beginning of September. I'm disappointed with the service I received here. I took my 4l65e in to get fixed, brought half the parts I needed and asked him to order me a new pump, a torque converter, new electrical harness, new accumulator pistons, and also asked for him to use his best knowledge on fixing it to a point I wouldn't have issues with it again. My husband and I both mentioned the new parts we wanted replaced in the transmission, that were not in the kit we brought, that would have to be ordered, I myself told both men at the counter what else I would need ordered, in person, my husband had told them the same exact thing over the phone as well. first bad taste in my mouth was when they called me and said to bring my torque converter in, well I did bring it in, apparently they miss placed it, that's fine because they ended up finding it. The thing I am most disappointed with, is the fact they did not listen to me when I told them I need all these new parts, and instead they reused all the old parts I said I wanted replaced. So because of this, I am rebuilding it myself and open it up, to find they left a broken cracked in half plastic accumulator piston, something that is recommended to be replaced in these transmissions, because of them being plastic and a weak point, but I was quite sad to see not only did they not replace them, they hadn't even opened the accumulator to look at it, because if they had, they would've seen it was broken in half and it was full of burnt sediment, and not be putting that back into a rebuilt transmission, for all I know that could have been the main reason my clutches burnt in the first place, and to reuse that defective part could have cost me, my whole brand new transmission and parts. Very Very disappointed with this place, as I can say now, it was not cheap to have them "fix" it. Disappointed I took it to a " professional" with 50 years experience and yet here me and the husband are rebuilding everything they missed, after paying for their service and being clear with what I had wanted from the start, just to have them completely ignore everything I said. Very Very displeased by this. As of now I would not recommend this repair shop to anyone that is looking for a transmission rebuild. I should add, his way of fixing this problem, was by replacing the 20 dollar piece, but he texted me that because I made this review "bashing his buisness" he will not be doing anything for me! Absolutely ridiculous treatment!

Really good service would take a vehicle there again.
