I have been coming here for manicures for a few years. Akari is the best! She also does a great job with lash extensions. I highly recommend that you try coming to Pure Beauty Bar.

I visit this salon every few weeks to see Tracie and I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. She is so friendly, incredibly talented, and I always leave absolutely loving my nails. The salon itself is lovely and welcoming, and all of the staff are so kind and professional. Such a great experience every single time — highly recommend! 💅✨

Went to get my nails done by Akari. I asked for almond-shaped nails and showed her my inspo photo. Around 12 p.m., she had another client booked for a lash appointment. I’m not sure what happened with the scheduling, but Akari told me another nail tech would need to finish my nail art because she’s the only one who does lashes and didn’t want to rush my set. I didn’t want to switch nail techs, but I didn’t really have a choice. The new nail tech only had my thumbs left to do, so I explained that I wanted rhinestone bows. Their selection of charms was limited. She suggested a Chanel logo, which I declined because that wasn’t what I wanted. I repeated that I wanted rhinestone bows. She asked if I had a reference photo. She said, “No photo, so hard.” I pointed to the red bow already on one of my nails and said I wanted the same thing, but in rhinestones. She tried to make the bow and then said it was “too hard,” handed me the tools, and asked me to try doing it myself. At that point, I was just annoyed. If I knew how to do my own nails, I wouldn’t be paying for a service. She then suggested a snowflake instead. I was already annoyed and had to meet a friend, so I agreed, thinking it would be a small, dainty snowflake. Instead, it ended up being huge and covered my entire thumb. Once I got home, I noticed the acrylic work was really poor—very thick, uneven, and not the shape I asked for. I requested almond-shaped nails, but they look more like stilettos. Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend this place. It seems better suited for simple gel manicures. I’ve attached my inspo photo vs what I received.

Update: the injury sustained from this nail salon has lasted 4 months with no improvement. I received only a refund for the manicure… I have missed work because of this, been in constant pain, been woken up every night with swelling fingers. AVOID THIS SALON Original review: I went to Pure Beauty Bar for a basic gel polish and had a terrible experience. During my manicure, the nail tech (Linda) cut me under two nails. When I said “what are you doing,” she just laughed. After leaving, I realized I was actually bleeding. When I told the staff, they applied a blue liquid, Polysporin, and a bandage. Within days, I developed a severe rash that hardened and began peeling off. I informed the salon, and while they initially offered me a free manicure, I made it clear I would not be returning for health and safety reasons and requested a refund. My finger is still cut under one nail, and the other has hard, peeling skin. On top of that, my wife’s gel manicure chipped completely after just a few days. This was my fourth visit, but after this experience, I am extremely disappointed. You should never leave a manicure with injuries, rashes, or damaged skin. I cannot recommend this salon and hope they take health and safety more seriously in the future
