I had a great experience with this animal clinic when I brought my dog in to be spayed. The price was very reasonable, and I really appreciated their transparency—there were no hidden fees or surprise charges. Unlike some other clinics that insist on extra visits or costly blood work for a perfectly healthy dog, this clinic kept things straightforward and honest.
The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and very professional. They took the time to answer my questions and made the whole process smooth from check-in to pick-up. It’s clear that they care about both the pets and their owners.
The only downside was that I didn’t get the chance to meet the doctor who performed the surgery. However, that might have been something I could have asked for, and I didn’t think to request it at the time.
Overall, I’m very happy with the service and would definitely recommend this clinic to anyone looking for affordable, honest, and compassionate veterinary care.

Very unprofessional experience – and they forgot post-surgery antibiotics
I unfortunately took my male cat to this clinic for a neuter surgery, and I honestly regret that decision. I truly wish I had never brought my cat here.
While my cat was already in the middle of surgery, the clinic called me and increased the price. At that point I felt like I had no real choice but to accept it, since my cat was already under anesthesia.
After the surgery, when I came to pick up my cat, Dr. Saeid Arefi had already left. Earlier that morning I had asked the receptionist several times to arrange a short meeting so I could speak with the doctor after the procedure, but it never happened. I never got the chance to talk to the veterinarian about my cat’s condition.
When I received my cat, his paw bandage had been wrapped extremely tight, and he was clearly uncomfortable and restless. The cone around his neck was also put on in a very unprofessional way.
The most shocking and unacceptable issue was that the clinic completely forgot to give the post-surgery antibiotics.
My cat had just undergone surgery where his abdomen had been opened, yet the antibiotic — which is basic and essential after surgery — was simply forgotten. They only gave it to me the next day after realizing the mistake. Forgetting post-surgical antibiotics after an operation involving an incision is extremely concerning.
Later, when I returned to have the stitches removed by Dr. Saeid Arefi, the way he handled my cat made me very uncomfortable. He grabbed my cat by the body and kept pulling his tail while my cat was clearly trying to escape and screaming in distress. Watching that was upsetting. I even told him directly:
If this is how you handle animals while I’m standing here watching, I can’t imagine how they are treated when owners are not present.
I have several other cats and I’m very familiar with neuter procedures and how veterinarians normally handle animals. I have never experienced anything like this before. The whole experience felt rushed, careless, and very unprofessional — and again, forgetting the post-surgery antibiotic is a serious mistake.
Because of this experience, my cat is now the only one of my cats who runs away in fear when he sees the carrier, which never happened before.
Another frustrating issue was that the front desk repeatedly refused to let me see the doctor after the surgery, even though I had asked multiple times. It honestly felt strange and very unprofessional.
I absolutely do not recommend this clinic. Even if this were the only veterinary clinic in the city, I would rather drive all the way to Alberta than bring my cat here again.
I truly wish it were possible to give less than one star.

We love this place! Took Our dog here for a foot injury and the staff and doctor were super helpful and kind, and helped heal our boy! Super efficient and the doctor knows what he’s doing. The pricing is super good, and they were very kind with giving us free check-ins after the first few visits. Will be going here again if our boy gets into any more trouble haha.

I can't say enough good things about this clinic. A few months ago my 11 year old Maine Coon cat developed a urinary blockage that needed immediate surgery. The clinic is very up front about cost estimates, risks, and possible outcomes. Our last vet missed crucial early indicators of kidney disease that was discovered after his PU surgery to alleviate the blockage at Poco West. Due to the compilations of his kidneys and recovering from surgery, it was a close call for a few weeks. During the entire process, the staff and doctor have gone above and beyond to save him. Without this clinic, I'm convinced I'd be without my cat today. They were warm, welcoming, and supportive. They weren't bothered by repeated questions, confusion, or needing clarification. They made time between appointments when our cat suddenly declined overnight and needed an emergency visit - providing further xrays to ensure that he was recovering well.
The doctor here clearly cares about his patients and their outcomes. He even noticed symptoms of arthritis and prescribed an injection once a month that has completely cleared it up. My now senior cat is acting and playing like he's a baby again and I couldn't suggest a better clinic than this one. Thank you so much for your continued service for our community!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️
