Came over to replace our hot water tank for a great price! (Especially after getting quotes done from other places) Was in and out within an hour and a half! Was very knowledgeable and friendly, appreciate he took the time to check a small leak under our sink aswell. Also very happy to hear other home repairs can be done by Phil, will definitely be back in the near future

I contacted multiple plumbers in town to potentially replace the frost free faucets at the front and back of our home. Phil was the first plumber to get back to me with a thoughtful email response showing appreciation for my DIYer's assessment of what the likely issues were with the faucets, and even showing a willingness to try to help me salvage the backyard faucet with an improvised reseater tool I put together with the help of a Youtube video, in order to smooth out the brass valve seat and possibly get the washer to create a proper seal again to stop the faucet from leaking. Phil also offered to come to the house and take a look at the faucets to give me his honest assessment. No charge. Most plumbers will charge a "service call fee" of $100 or so just to come to the home, so Phil's willingness to take a look at the job and provide an estimate gratis added to my good impression. Phil came over last Tuesday for the estimate. After looking at the faucets he said he was still willing to try to salvage the backyard faucet but it was unlikely to be successful; he also proposed of his own initiative, installing individual shut off valves for both faucets, so that should there be faucet leaks in the future, at least the water to the faucet could be shut off without needing to do so for the entire home. That clinched it for me, the inspired idea of the individual shut off valves, and despite concluding the faucets should be replaced, he was still willing to try to give me, the customer, what I had originally wanted. This showed me he was truly customer focused, and I asked Phil to go ahead and do the job right then and there. Phil was very efficient with his time. No wasted effort and it was obvious he had many years of experience under his belt. Now something cool about Phil is not only is he a certified Plumber, but he also has a great deal of experience with renovations (hence the name : Philly D's Plumbing and Renovations). I spoke to other plumbers who said they could recommend drywallers to patch the holes in the wall which would be necessary to access the lines connecting to the faucet. Phil handled that himself, saving me the additional time and cost. In order to make it easy to access the individual shut off valves, Phil brought spring loaded access panels which are simple to remove and replace. In hindsight, the only caveat I have is how the faucet was mounted to the exterior. Phil cut square pieces of plywood, added adhesive to stick them to the stucco, ran the faucet through the plywood and into the wall, screwed the faucet into the plywood, and then made the connections to the water lines inside the house. He sealed the plywood and faucet outside with caulking. I had some paint for the plywood, and applied 3 additional coats myself over the following days. It looks pretty good I think; however, after doing some additional research out of my own curiosity, I think using premade, plastic, "Mounting Blocks" would have looked even better, and been superior for properly securing the faucet to the exterior. Ah well, the faucet incurs miniscule load, and hindsight is 20/20 as they say. Overall, I was very happy with the job Phil did. His rates are extremely reasonable, and he went the extra mile. It was pleasant to chat with him about his life as he was working, and I think I learned a thing or 2 about plumbing as a result of our conversation. I recommend his services to anyone looking for help with their plumbing related needs. Suggestion : Phil brought a copy of his business license to show me, along with his Red Seal certification. I would like to encourage Phil, as I did during his visit, to add this information to his website. Plus, adding information about insurance. In addition, as I told Phil, I would suggest adding some details about himself to the website to add some character to his bio. He's had an interesting life, and, at least for me, I like to know a little bit about people I hire. Fleshes them out a bit before we meet.

I had Phil come over and install some shutoff valves. He did excellent work at unbeatable rates. He was on time and very professional. I will definitely be calling Phil for any future plumbing and reno needs at the house. Very happy customer.

Phil came to our rescue at The Vault Cafe last week for an emergency late night pipe repair. He was prompt, knowledgeable , kind and left a clean workspace behind. Philly D's Plumbing and Reno's: Top Notch Quality of work, very personable and honest businessman with decades of experience, and very reasonable prices. Not a company that will take advantage of their valuable customers. Phil replaced one of our toilets and built a glass railing that has modernized our home so nicely now. Phil is now my go to plumber and reno guy!
