On Wednesday afternoon Dec 24/25 our beloved kitty of 15 1/2 years suddenly and quickly started going downhill health wise. She had been diagnosed with renal failure at the beginning of 2025 and had 3 mini strokes over the year. I knew she was coming to the end of her life but didn't realize how quickly she would decline. By Sunday Dec 28/25 she wasn't eating, drinking (on her own), or using the litter. All she did was sleep and I knew she was in pain. She woke up briefly that morning and threw up the water I brought to her to drink. All the vets had been closed since Dec 25th (or before) and I couldn't let her go one more day in this way. I phoned the vet we had used since we moved to MJ but they said we would have to take her to Regina because it was a Sunday. I instead phoned Peak Veterinary and their on call vet was willing to come to the office and put her to sleep. Dr Cameron Hillis was very kind and professional. He explained the procedure to us and gave us the time we needed to say good bye even though it was a Sunday (his day off). I was also appreciative of his sensitivity and understanding during one of the hardest times in my life and his gentleness with our beloved girl. Though I have found Peak Veterinary to be a little more expensive than our other vet, the level of care, compassion, and honesty I experienced using their services is worth the cost. I don't know if I will ever get another kitty, but if I do, I'll bring her to Peak Veterinary. Their quality care and service is second to none.

We just had to put another of our senior animals down a couple weeks ago, and felt I should update my review, still such an amazing place , compassionate, unrushed and so understanding. Cam Hillis came in on a saturday and was great with all of our family bieng there to say goodbye and let us know to take as much time as we needed. Such a great person, and place! Kind compassionate care, and wonderful vets. great place , even at the worst times.

We needed to get a puppy in for some urgent care and Peak was able to make time to see us. The staff at the front desk took all the required info over the phone and there was an exam room waiting for us when we arrived. The vet tech and vet were both excellent, compassionate and thorough! We left with the medication we needed for our pup and by morning he was well on the road to recovery. Excellent customer service, care and even a follow up phone call the next day!

My family always chooses Peak Vet for the best care. We have many small animals and they are always carefully looked after and examined and we are always given the best advice. Any concerns we’ve had have always been addressed in a compassionate but realistic manner. The staff is always super friendly to all the animals and us. If you’re debating which vet to choose in the Moose Jaw area I would always tell you to reach out to Peak if you’d like the best experience. We just recently switched our dog’s care to Peak as well and the appointment was the best we’ve ever had.
