The students are always doing a great job. I came in Tuesday and I am so in love with my cut and color. Came back in to get a lil more length taken off the front and they were very accommodating. The instructors are so helpful also! Love coming here :) they also offer a super wide variety of ameka and redken products if your looking !

I recently visited this wonderful hair salon with my mum and sister, and we had an amazing experience! Between the three of us, we needed a trim, a big chop, a root touch-up, and conditioning treatments for our dry, curly, and kinky hair textures. The girls working there were beyond professional and made us feel so comfortable throughout. They really knew how to handle our hair types with care and expertise. I especially appreciated the warm, low-key encouragement to come back. Definitely a salon I’ll be returning to! Highly recommend! Sidenote: If you need some privacy for modesty or comfort reasons, they will be able to accommodate that.

D’Arby was prompt, welcoming and courteous. My friend and I were each treated to a haircut and basic styling. The rapport between student and supervisor was a joy to witness. Students at this academy can expect to be excellent stylists upon graduation. We were so fortunate to have D’Arby assigned to our care. We are from Spruce Grove and will certainly be happy to recommend D’Arby and the Academy.

Review #2 2024 I had the most amazing color (is that what it's called?) appointment! I have never had SO MANY COMPLIMENTS on my hair in my life! For real! I was there from 10am-4:30pm though, so it was an all day commitment to get done. But according to friends the cost here is about 1/3 of what it would be at a commercial salon. I got to pick my toner, or basically what it would turn out like for my highlights colors from a book of swatches for the first time. I never had that option before coming here. That was fun! And we did two tones which turned out amazing! I feel amazing too! The only thing I wish is that I had gotten a better before picture. I always appreciate it when the stylist offers to take one for me, and after photos too (in both cases front and back) because I always feel awkward asking and it's hard for me to take my own photo especially to show the back. But it makes for way better instagram posts lol when you can show the "before and after". Review #1 2020 My stylist was Leah and she was AMAZING! I just cannot say enough good things about her! She had an awesome attitude toward learning and she was so personable! I was impressed with the knowledge of the instructors. My cut and color turned out better than I expected. It turned out perfect! Leah did an absolutely excellent job with my balayage, cut, bangs and undercut. I will be going back to this establishment for sure and hopefully will be able to book in with her again. And it was reasonably priced! It did take 7 hrs but for the price I didn't mind. It's a great way for students to get experience.
