Went to see Patrick Chiu for a couple of sessions for a shoulder separation and had a wonderful experience both times! He is very personable, attentive, transparent, and most importantly ensures to align the treatment with my own goals. In addition, he was great at explaining the exercises. I always felt confident doing the exercises at home. I had so many questions around the injury and the path forward, but he was able to answer them all confidently!

I highly recommend Mark as a massage therapist. He’s very friendly and creates a comfortable atmosphere. He has an excellent understanding of the body and always knows exactly where to work to relieve tension and pain. I’ve noticed real improvement both right after sessions and long-term. I recently met Arjun at this location and had three physiotherapy sessions with him that effectively addressed my severe back and muscle pain. His treatment was truly instrumental in helping me return to my normal routine much sooner than I expected. I have been a client at PainPro Metrotown for approximately four years, and until today, my experiences have consistently been excellent. Therapists such as Henry, Danny, and Mark have always gone above and beyond to ensure a professional, attentive, and effective treatment experience. Their commitment to patient care is the reason I have continued to return. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was very disappointing. From the outset, the therapist was unwelcoming and came across with a dismissive, “know-it-all” attitude. Rather than focusing on my immediate concern—a follow-up treatment for pain that had already been partially addressed during my previous session—she attempted to persuade me to commit to long-term treatment with her, suggesting she was more capable than other therapists. I was also surprised by the lack of basic courtesy, such as offering a seat before beginning the consultation. When discussing my pain history, I explained that I could not recall the exact date the issue first occurred. Her response—“interesting that you don’t remember”—felt unnecessary and unprofessional. During the treatment itself, I did not feel that the therapist adequately targeted the area of pain, nor did she check whether the pressure was appropriate or whether she was addressing the correct location. The session felt unfocused and lacked clear intent to relieve discomfort. Additionally, although I arrived slightly late and hoped to make the most of the remaining time, a significant portion of the appointment was spent on extended discussion rather than hands-on treatment. While I understand that some assessment questions are necessary, the session also ended earlier than expected, further reducing treatment time. Overall, this experience felt more like a counseling session than a therapeutic massage. It was a significant departure from the high standard of care I have come to expect over the past four years. I hope this feedback is taken constructively so that future patients continue to receive the excellent service that originally built my trust in the clinic.
