We’ve been taking our pets to Oxford Animal Hospital for more than 12 years - our oldest dog loves going there. To me that speaks volumes.

We had to say goodbye to our beloved old dog, Kira, today, she was almost 14. I can’t express enough gratitude for Dr. Karli and his assistant. Dr. Karli has been Kira’s vet since she was a puppy, and he has always treated her with such kindness and compassion. When the time came, he went above and beyond—coming to our home on his day off so that her passing could be peaceful and surrounded by love. The care and empathy he showed us through this heartbreaking experience meant more than words can say. Kira’s passing was quick, gentle, and dignified. We will always be thankful to Dr. Karli and his team for their compassion, professionalism, and the deep respect they showed our girl and our family.

Brought our puppy here to spayed. Dr. Karli’s assistant noticed a rash on our dog’s tummy only after they had fully sedated her. This meant they could no longer do the surgery. If she hadn’t have noticed, the surgery could have killed our dog. We spent the following weeks trying antibiotics for a “staph infection” and when those didn’t work the diagnosis changed to allergies and she was put on different meds. Besides the misdiagnosis, Dr. Karli also failed to notice that our dog was going into heat. This is our first dog and even we noticed symptoms. Whenever we would ask questions, we were brushed off or given a confusing explanation. We were spoken down to and were made to feel at fault for our dog having a rash. One of the receptionists was rude as well and sounded annoyed when asked a question. I witnessed her being rude to a man who was picking up his dog’s ashes. She seemed inconvenienced by the fact that the man was there and was rude as soon as he walked in the door. We reached out via phone to follow up about next steps now that our dog is in heat and we were never given a call back. Dr. Karli’s assistant is the only good thing about this place. We will not be going back there.

My mom took my dog to see the vet here for a cough as I was at work. I have asked them previously on numerous occasions to let me in the room with my dog and was always met with “they do better when you aren’t there” so i trusted what they said. Unbeknownst to me or my mother, they took her to the back (she’s an 85lb Rottweiler btw) and pinned her to the ground to restrain and muzzle her even though she was showing no signs of aggression as she’s always had positive/neutral experiences at the vet. My dog has gone thru extensive training and is the sweetest lil angel. My dog is not muzzle trained as she never needed to be. Now I am left with a dog with extreme PTSD and that growls when I put pressure on her whether that’s laying down with my arm on her or resting my head on her stomach. You guys should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. Calling yourselves advocates for animals and only wanting to help and then pulling this stunt. Who in there right mind thinks pinning down a dog is a good idea? Then having the NERVE to say my dog is untrained and my mother has no business owning this breed if she can’t handle them properly. Been a client for over 10 years. What a shame.

The BEST veterinarian experience since we got our pup 3 years ago. The most incredibly caring, compassionate and attentive staff. Fantastic communication in person and through email. Dr.Karli is a wonderful, kind, incredibly knowledgeable and experienced vet, I knew Luna was in safe hands with him and I am so grateful that he was able to get her back to feeling her best self. Thank you to the whole team at Oxford Animal Hospital for all you do to make our fur babies feel better.
