Delivery is everything! Today Ocean Park Vet contacted me as my dog had an appointment booked a week prior to be groomed the following day which my mother had kindly booked for him so that he could have a play date with his litter mate. I was asked if my dog had his most recent vaccinations in which I replied that I wasn’t aware I had missed one. (I normally get an email and book right away) she proceeded to shame me for him being behind on his vaccines (it was due 20 days before) and that they had contacted my vet and that he wasn’t up to date and that they would not groom him and that they were cancelling his appointment. I was rather short at the end of the call as a lot had gone into the booking and arranging of this appointment. I decide to call back and ask a question. I asked if they had possibly missed a step when the original booking was done and had missed to ask the question as to whether or not he was up to date on his shots. She then admitted that yes, they were suppose to verify. Hmmm, so rather than call and say we apologize, we forgot to ask if his shots were up to date when we did the booking and that they would need to reschedule due to their error they made me feel like I was the terrible pet owner. Shame on you! Take accountability and do things properly. I will never recommend this vet to anyone.

Dr McPhee took amazing care of our cat Cisco, after a great long life, with old age he began to decline and it was time to take him out of suffering. Dr McPhee was kind, caring, and comforting during this process. She explained everything that was going to happen step by step and reassured us that we were making the right decision which, as pet owners, is very hard to come to terms with. Thank you Dr McPhee for making this process easier on my whole family, including Cisco.

Such kind and caring people at this vet. We have multiple pets and they are great with all of them. No pressure to do expensive and unnecessary tests. When we had to put our lab down last year Dr McPhee was so kind and made an awful experience as painless as possible for our family,

Could not ask for a nicer vet...Erin always greeted our dog sat on the floor and made a huge fuss of her. She was never scared to visit the vet, in fact she loved going, even on her very last journey... The staff are also very helpful, kind and patient. When my heart is healed and we start all over again, we will definitely use Ocean Park vet clinic!

I find the staff helpful and friendly. The vetranarian who sees my dogs is very forthright and offers a variety of treatment options and is always clear about the risks and benefits of each. She's made dealing with my elderly dog's health concerns easier to understand and easier to cope with.
