Dr. Gallit Ziv and her whole team were outstanding!! This was my first ever surgery - and I was nervous - but everyone at the office put me at ease!! From the fabulous greeting when arriving to smiles from everyone I encountered, to Dr. Ziv’s beautiful bedside manner… I was fantastically blown away!! Not to mention the follow-up phonecall to male sure I was okay the next day! Yes, I am coming from the Westend- but I will drive out again and again to see this wonderful crew of hospitable himans who really care…
You make going to the dentist a joy!
and that’s not an easy feat!! 😉
THANKS NEWTON DENTAL GROUP!
I WILL be back again and again…. 😊❤️

I had to get caps for my teeth and the staff helped with getting the information to my insurance carrier, explained the difference I would owe and helped me determine the necessity of the procedure to be completed. I felt really comfortable with my dentist and how the work was done. They made me feel safe and explained what was being done as they were working on me.

I have been with Newton Dental Group for 10 years and over the past few years, I have noticed a significant decline in the skills of the new hygienists and dentists.
I left part way through the appointment because the hygienist was awful. She leaned the chair back until it was in trendelenburg position. I had to hold the bib with my hand because it would slid down my face otherwise.
She had to get me to hold the suction during the first part of the exam, but then took it away and rarely gave me enough suction. I had so much saliva in my mouth I was struggling to stop it from choking me.
Instead of being skilled enough to work around the patient's mouth, she kept getting me to turn my head to its maximum capability. She also kept shining the light in my eyes every time she adjusted it.
After scaling 4-5 teeth, she would constantly stop and type on the computer for a few minutes while leaving me in the trendelenburg position with a mouthful of saliva.
When using the mirror to move my lips out of the way, she would put so much pressure on my gums that it'd hurt.
I have encountered these issues with other hygienists at this clinic the past 4-5 visits, but this time I've had enough and will not be returning.
The previous times I've been there have not been good because when I had my crown done, the dentist and hygienist were basically waterboarding me because they are not skilled in controlling the water and would get it all over my glasses, face, shirt, and in my nose. They also had to retake the mold of my tooth twice because they first crown that they made was very large. It was so long that the crown didn't even fit on my tooth (took 5 appointments in total to get the crown done). The dentists and hygienist all not as skilled as they were when Dr. Kung (dentist) and Jessie (hygienist) were working there. Although Dr. Ziv is listed as one of the dentists there, she is rarely in the clinic doing normal dental work/exams for patients.
I was also booked in for an appointment once where I took the last appointment slot of the day. When I got there, they told me that there were no dentists to check my teeth because the dentists don't work in the evening, and that I'd have to come back another day. Why book me in then? I only got cleaning done that day and had to return a few days later to get the check-up. Wasted my time rushing home from work to make it to the appointment.
I also got recommended to use a night guard, so I got one made. It cost me $100 after insurance ($500 without insurance). However, I couldn't even use it. It was so uncomfortable to use even after I tried it for a whole month. It wasn't until I went to my new dentist that they were shocked to hear that Newton Dental Group made a lower night guard for me instead of an upper night guard. They said that night guards should always be made for the upper teeth as the palate moves less and the tongue has a place to rest. With the lower night guard they made for me, my tongue had no space to sit, so it would get very tired from being squished in my mouth.
The receptionists, however, are very lovely.
Edit: Thank you for responding to my post, and taking my review into consideration. In response to the scaling, the hygienist was definitely scaling and not taking gums measurements because I have had my gums measured many times at this clinic before and she was definitely not doing this.
I believe you misunderstood, I meant Dr. Amy Kung, not Dr. Kullar when mentioning the previous dentist.
