Ranjna was amazing! 100% recommended. I was looking for a salon that charges a reasonable amount for a regular haircut and this salon had the perfect pricing! I called-in and got an appointment for the same day. Her only requirement was - "Please be on time!". As she's the only person managing the entire salon, that is a very reasonable thing to ask! I reached about 5 minutes early and she was very accommodating! There was a coat check for my jacket, quiet and clean salon. All the tools were clean and disinfected right in front of me. I didn't have any reference images and just gave her a description of what I want. Yet she made sure I was comfortable with the length and kept confirming every few minutes. Took about 15-20 minutes tops for cutting my long hair and as I was satisfied with the cut, I also requested her to do my eyebrows. She was kind enough to accommodate that as she had a few minutes left until her next appointment! I don't understand whom the people in the reviews section met and dealt with because I've absolutely had an amazing experience at this place and would definitely return/bring my friends here too! I hope all her future customers understand the pain of running a salon and working in the customer service industry and please be kind to small business owners!

I’ve been going to [Stylist's Name or Salon Name] for over 12 years, and I can honestly say she’s the best! She always gives me a warm welcome and consistently does an amazing job. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for her clients truly set her apart. I always leave feeling confident and well taken care of. Highly recommended

Anyone whose hair has once been touched by Ranjana’s magical hands will never go anywhere else! Two years ago, I went to her with dry, frizzy, and damaged hair — and from the moment her healing hands worked their magic during my keratin treatment, I never wanted anyone else to touch my hair again. Ranjana is not only incredibly talented but also such a kind and wonderful person. Her work is absolutely flawless. My hair has been smooth, shiny, and healthy ever since — it literally glows every day! People constantly ask me where I get my keratin done, and I proudly say, “Only with Ranjana!”

Wow. Where do I start? From the very first call, I got a sense that this salon isn’t very flexible - and that’s okay, everyone has rules. What I didn’t sign up for, was being shamed for being late. I had an appointment, and arrived late, and immediately apologized- yes, I even said I didn’t mind waiting or rescheduling and coming back for the next available slot. Seems reasonable, right? Not for this salon. Instead of responding with basic courtesy, the owner decided this was the perfect time to showcase her talent for rudeness. She spoke in a condescending tone, and said, “That’s not how it works,” before dismissively telling me to go to another salon. I politely kept asking if I could come later or be accommodated in another slot, but guess what? She never answered. Her only response was, “You didn’t come on the time given to you, you can go to a nearby salon.” She did not even try to see if there was another slot available. I was literally fine with coming back at a different time, yet it felt like she was punishing her customers for being a few minutes late. So much for being nice. Everyone can run late sometimes - that’s life. But her attitude made it abundantly clear that she did not want to accommodate me at all. I left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and genuinely shocked that someone in a service business could treat polite, apologetic customers like criminals. Definitely not the kind of customer service or kindness you would expect from a local salon in Burnaby. I will be taking my business elsewhere and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values respectful treatment. After leaving, I looked at some of the recent reviews, and I really wish I had read them earlier. Turns out, I’m not alone. Other customers have experienced the same rudeness. Clearly, this is a consistent feature, not a one-off. Being in a service-oriented business, I don’t understand how someone can have such a negative attitude toward customers or think it’s acceptable to shame them for being late, especially when they are polite and apologetic. The fact that this is her standard behavior is beyond comprehension.

If you’re ever in the mood to be humbled by someone holding a pair of scissors, this is the place for you. Calling to make an appointment here is a thrilling game of “Guess the Schedule,” because the owner will never *actually* tell you when she’s available. Instead, she’ll ask what time works for you — before promptly ignoring your answer like it was never spoken. Walking in is even more entertaining. Her greeting style could best be described as “customer service meets courtroom cross-examination.” If you ask politely for another time slot, don’t expect a yes or no — you’ll get something special, like, “You can explore other options nearby.” Translation: you’re dismissed. All of this happens, of course, in front of other clients who get to enjoy the live show of arrogance and attitude. Truly, it’s a unique experience — like a reality TV salon where empathy got edited out. Five stars for drama, zero for professionalism. I went ahead and followed her advice to “explore other options nearby,” and discovered actual courtesy exists just down the street.
