Michelle’s Hair Lounge is amazing - I tried a few salons when I first moved to Kelowna from Vancouver, I was looking for that big city quality cut & highlights & I found it in this home salon. She’s incredibly talented, great vibe & she carries quality products. Easy to book & I’ve never been happier with my hair!

I have had the pleasure of experiencing Michelle’s Hair Lounge for going on 3 years now. Michelle is a professional in every way. I have had many hair beauticians over the years, but out of all, Michelle has been the best. Michelle is creative and knowledgeable through all aspects of her trade and I will continue to experience her expertise for many years to come!

I can’t say enough amazing things about Michelle! She is truly a master of colour. I get a lot of grey regrowth, and every time she touches up my roots, the coverage is absolutely flawless — it blends perfectly with the rest of my hair. What I love most is how meticulous she is about getting the shade exactly right without ever compromising the health of my hair. She takes her time to ensure the match is perfect and never fries my hair with unnecessary heat. The end result is always silky, natural, and vibrant. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about both the colour and the condition of your hair, Michelle is the one. She’s an absolute gem! 💇‍♀️✨

My first and last hair colour appointment. The colour did not work out but it was more how she handled it that was horrible customer service. I paid over $400 after tax and tips. I sent a photo of myself asking if she was able to do the colour and she said yes and I went in for a consult in Dec 2024 right after I had my hair coloured from my previous hairdresser as I was looking to find a new one for my next appointment in March 2025. We discussed and agreed that my hair could be a bit darker than what I had and that we would do that in March at the first appointment. I had my appointment on a Friday in March. Right away I knew it was too light. It was literally all blonde and it was not the photo I sent. I tried to get used to it but I couldn't so I texted her on Saturday and I was nice about it and asked if we could talk on Monday as I was not able to get used to my hair and I did not want to disturb her weekend away so let's chat Monday. Her responses back I could already tell was not going to be a good conversation on Monday. We finally talked on Monday and it was not a good conversation. My feedback was that it was very very blonde in the front and around my face and also said that the way she coloured it, it was one dimensional and no way it would last 3 months which is what I requested so that my whites could blend in. How she responded: 1. It's more blonde because she fixed my hair underneath and actually coloured it which previously had no colour so makes everything look more blonde. 2. She only fixed my hair and the blonde around the front is what my previous hair dresser had it lightened to. 3. She showed me the toner and I agreed to it. (That she did do and asked me if I was ok with the toner. I've never had a hairdresser asked me to confirm as I trusted that they understood what I wanted and that they would pick the right toner). 4. She charged me less than she should have as I sat in her chair longer and she used more products so I actually got a deal. 5. She offered to darken it if I paid more. I already paid $400 and I was asking for her to fix it without paying more. 6. She didn't want to listen to me... she was defensive and kept talking over me and telling me all the above. I expressed that I was unhappy and was the one to have to walk around with the hair but she just did not care and hung up and did not want any further conversation. She would not take responsibility which was disappointing. So unless you know exactly what you want and can show an exact picture and are able to pick the toner yourself, I would not go to her. I attached 4 photos below. 1. photo I sent Michelle prior to consult. 2. photo of the blonde 2 days after Michelle coloured it. 3. photo of my hair growing out 4 weeks after Michelle coloured it. 4. photo of the fix from new hair dresser. I love my new hair dresser and It's now been 6 weeks and still does not look like it's grown out.
